Tobes, you could well be right! I wouldn't take a punt on when the refurb will start and most of that is down to local politics. If LFC are to stay in Anfield then the refurbishment is the practical way to go.

For me, I'd have gone the whole hog with an out of town stadium surrounded by a business/retail park and direct road, rail access. That would probably be in the South of the City - say Speke/Runcorn

 

I agree, without the 'football quarter' in Stanley Park that the original Yanks had earmarked as the cornerstone of their development, then I don't see any real reason why, as a long term option, that Anfield makes any real sense.

I said from the day that FSG announced the re-furb plan, that it'd get knotted up in compulsory purchase appeals & that imo it was just them 'kicking the can down the road', as they had no real intention of laying a single brick during their tenure. It remains to be seen if I'm right or wrong on that one.

 

I don't care if these guys come to our board to discuss Arsenal stuff, but if they are simply going to discuss Liverpool ****, then can we ban them all please.

I agree it's the Arsenal board and you can say whatever you like. But the site is free for fans to go on any board, and lets face it sticking on your own board and not occasionally seeing what others are discussing gets a bit tedious.
