Hahaha, I have just read my favourite news story of the year on Bale. Here. I don't even know what to say. I know this is a crappy website but it's an actual sporting 'news' site as far as I can tell not a spoof site. Bizarre.
It was actually a better article than 95% of all other Bale articles, i thought. I mean that as damning on the other 95%.

As it hasn't been reported yet, Tomislav Gomelt has joined Royal Antwerp on a season-long loan. Milos Veljkovic hasn't been loaned out yet.
Whats he said thats that warrants your comment, there's absolutely nothing from the sentences that left the directors mouth. Sky's headline and spin however...well, say no more. "We would like to keep Bale"...obvious statement, just like AVB's "If a player wants to leave its difficult to stop them"...another bland statement. He then goes on to talk about our other transfers. Not once does he mention any Bale bid, nothing. At least you've shown everyone how you arrive at your daft conclusions. Someone said you're at University, surely being able to read is a pre-requisite?
I don't get why we don't just go all out to get someone like Alderwiereld, for example. For years we've struggled defensively with injuries, with Kaboul being our latest issue. Daws has had his fair share too and at the same time, isn't getting any younger. That leaves vertonghen.... If we're going to be chasing the EL next year too, IMO we need someone like Alderwiereld developing in the background. We need go consider the above and make sure that there's enough squad rotation in order to cope with the amount of games we could face. There's plenty of football matches to play and plenty of opportunities for 4 decent CB's.
"further emphasised after a rather unsavoury incident recently where a member of staff was severely reprimanded after exchanging inside info for cash with a national newspaper journalist." And that was the bit corroborated elsewhere by another 606 ITK before Spurcat mentioned it here. So the lock-down rumour is actually not a rumour but fact.
Notso what the fudge is your problem?! The quote from Mills in that article is as follows... "We very much want Bale to stay," "If a player is desperate to leave, it's very difficult to force him to stay. "We've seen it in other clubs. Even if he has a contract, you can't force somebody to play for you." Now I was under the impression (from you!) that no one from Spurs was supposed to be commenting on Bale's situation, or talking to the media about Bale. The exact words used were a "Media Lockdown". Now right there he is hinting at the fact Bale is "desperate to leave", that the club are "would like to keep" Bale and that we may not be able to "force him to stay" ---In turn *talking to the media about Bale's situation*. Seems like you are picking apart everyone of my posts to try and find something you can have a dig at. Can I ask why?!
