you yanks grind up beef putting the outer surface of a cut into the middle of your burger along with all the bacteria that we kill when cooking a prime cut even to a rare level.

ie you are poisoning yourself with medium rare burgers....

<laugh> - i'm not totally anti fast food, I eat the **** now and again and even let my boy have a cheeky nugget happy meal occasionally - but shoving it down their throats 2-3 times a week is a different matter entirely as i'm sure you'll agree.

Do we? Don't think I ever have?

Also it was not just McDonalds Sisu...... it was in the grocery stores and it was labeled "pink slime". They put out a list of the grocery stores to not buy the cheap versions as it had this **** in it.

To be fair to the Ham Shanks, medium rare burgers are offered over here in some of the more poncy eateries darn sarf.

Whichever side of the pond it's on, it's a ridiculous notion, as minced beef needs cooking through & there's no benefit to the meats texture by leaving it uncooked in a burger ffs.

Half the ground beef in the US<yikes>

reconstituted crap, it gets a "puff" of ammonia hydroxide because it's the **** taken up from the floor.

That article almost reads like a defence of the pink slime use.

Your pubes turning ginger would be the least of your worries eating that every day<laugh>

Oh the pink slime was a big deal and many stores and companies tried to make defense for it but at the end of the day I am pretty careful with my ground beef I buy. Due to trying to stay trim and also keep the protein count high due to acitivity, I lean towards Bison meat now for burgers. Waaaayyyyyy better and healthier too. <ok>

    Love it <laugh>

Seriously though, surely the point is: it's not what people do to themselves, it's what they do to others. Manufacturers and retailers should not be able to make a profit from selling people potentially harmful things without the consumer being fully aware of what they are being given.
If you try to kill yourself you'll get counselling- if you try to kill someone else you'll get jail.

Unless you're a corporation, then you just get fined. Ever since the railroad companies in the US successfully argued in court to have a corporation treated as an individual shared liability was born and evil bastards making decisions that cause deaths get away with murder.

Politics have a different version, they call it "The System" they blame the system every time, just look at the expenses fraud, the system was blamed for almost of the swindling.

I know a guy who only eats venison burgers... shoots them himself with a cross bow... nice guy...

    anyway...

this is what i's saying this ammonia **** to kill the bugs means people can eat raw ground beef and call it juicy... muppets.

go to a Michelin star restaurant, get a filet mignon or however you spell it, get that rare if you like... you just risk parasites.. but if you eat raw meat thats open to the air it will give you e-coli and the like... grind it up and put the e-coli in the middle and you are heading for a nasty one.

all frenchies are mad like wenger cos they eat raw meat, they get brain parasites... makes them think people for south america like them and all ;)

In fairness, venison is such a lean meat, that I can see why you'd eat them medium rare, as anyone who over cooks venison deserves the ducking stool.

Don't think it's too much, think the moose are the worst for that ( methane)? I know that where I went to Uni at in Tennessee the local gas station had fresh Bison they literally killed right out the back door. Was so fresh and cheap too. Usually a pound of bison runs at about 9 dollars while a pound of 80/20 chuck runs at like 3, if you get the leaner ground beef 90/10 it gets to about 4-5 bucks.

I haven't had any sort of takeaway burger for about 6/7 years now.

****ing vile stuff that always used to make me feel ill after about 15 minutes.

Chicken? I think KFC are probably the best around, at least you know it's chicken.
