No offensive taken I agree but 100%, I think in moderation it is fine. I don't agree with people that do it all the time.
I'm not arguing against that, they should be telling people what's in it, hence me mentioning the cigarette labeling.
I totally get your point, but I think age might alter your perspective on the issue tbh. I used to think in exactly the same way, I used to eat what I liked, smoke, drink & partied hard. BUT, you get to a certain age & you realise that your lifestyle choices are impacting on your health & ultimately on your longevity. Some people, either never get to that point of reflection or just carry on regardless, thinking 'to ****' with the consequences, but my point is that thought process is easier in your 20's than it is in your 40's. I gave up the ***s, changed my eating habits, cut back on the ale (I still drink too much according to the guidelines mind) & I take more exercise. All personal choices that I've made in recent years, that years ago I'd have stuck 2 fingers up to.......
In my previous post, what Mcdonalds did today was what cigarette companies did years ago, put out poison but didn't tell anyone it was poison, people obviously know what harm ciggies to now, but did not know what harm poisoned slop paraded as meat is doing. If I sell you oranges that's laced with very small amounts of battery acid, and I don't tell you about the acid, and you decide to eat them every week, and after two years you need a new stomach, who's fault it that? and should I have told you about the trace acid? yes I should have and yes I owe you a stomach, it's a more extreme analogy but only because the health impact is more grave and the mean time to health issue is far shorter. Ammonia is a toxic substance
Fair enough, I can only take your word on that since I'm a distance from your age But no, seriously, I don't smoke (used to briefly but didn't last long), did a few naughty substances, drink myself silly EVERY weekend from Thursday to Sunday (hanging every Monday), even used to have at least four cans every week night. All that has changed, lucky if I have four cans a week now and can't stand the thought of smoking etc. But food remains strong, I eat a lot (I'm sure you will have noticed) because I love eating. I very very rarely choose an healthy option because I like food that tastes nice
Firstly how did you ever get up in the morning drinking that much? I'm late 20s and struggle after two pints of Guinness. Secondly good job you cut back because at that rate you'd have no liver by the time you're 40!
You've already made the decisions that I referred to mate, you're just a fat batard Seriously, I'm a bad foodie these days, I used to hate cooking - anything that took longer to prepare than it did to eat, was off the menu. These days I love it, I cook meals that only a few years ago would have been unthinkable for me. When I cook a fancy meal or if we go out for a slap up dinner, I just add some balance back to in the days after by eating salad for lunch, avoiding carbs , that sort of thing. You can love great food & still stay in half decent shape.
I'm the reverse, eating much better these days, awful diet till my mid 30s. Not eating at all till late and so on. Couldn't keep it up, body was complaining
Calories in vs calories out. If you consume more cals in a day than your body can burn in its 'idling' state or through exercise you will put weight on. Balance is exactly the right word.
I actually had no clue on this. I agree though, I can't stand fast food, if I have to eat it as we are on a trip or the stipend from the team runs low, so be it, but I would rather just pack my own stuff or we have enough Burrito places ( made in a subway style where you can see everything, them cook the meat, the veggies, peppers, spices, etc in front of you) that cost about the same and are at least real food. Super size me is all I have to say.
I actually like cooking too but the mrs is a scruffy ****er who hardly ever does the bloody dishes. You can get ****ed if you think I'm doing them on her behalf! Got to be done, steaks etc too PS...like bluff, I have no idea what you are talking about, just responding to the question put in front of me.
