Was it a cover of Hughes Corporation - Rock the Boat?.... please log in to view this image ..a little bit Jimmy Carr that one!
Further to the mention of the Intertoto bizarreness that many of us (including me) seem to have blanked from our memory... I found this on YouTube - highlights of the 8-0. Jesus Christ there is some bad football to be watched right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeiBT-GLS0w Nice long shot of Alan Pardew close up at 5:53 as he considers the pointlessness of existence shortly after the 8th has gone in. And some amazing goalkeeping/defending throughout.
Apparently this match has been moved to Sunday 1.30pm KO live on Sky and the Swansea match has been moved to Sunday 25th ko 4pm. I put it here because there is no where else to post it!
Season ticket holders with 290 + loyalty points got tickets for this one. Swansea at home sold out to members. Arsenal away is season ticket holders only. Not much chance of getting tickets unless you've got a ST or are a member.
12 days, 3 hours, 9 minutes, and 25 seconds. I set this three weeks ago and I swear it's going backwards
You may be interested to learn that over 600 season ticket holders declined to renew for this season. As of last Friday, the club had approached over the first 800 on the season ticket waiting list and had still failed to allocate the 600+ vacancies. So if you do happen to be on this waiting list, then you may be a lot closer to the front of the queue than you think. The main reason given by those not renewing was the excessive cost which is fair enough. Apparently a couple did give their reason as "crap atmosphere in the stadium". .
Any idea how he did out on loan last season? It's hard to find any info on the lower Spanish leagues. One thing that ran through my mind earlier was that it might be good for someone like Kane to go to the SPL on loan, it's a big mixture in abilities and he should be able to get a full season at one of the better sides. The last thing he needs now is to find himself playing a bit part with us or another PL team, or going back down to the Championship.
There has always been a problem with Tomislav Gomelt's work permit and this has undoubtedly affected the player. Plus he has found it hard to live up to the standards of his start with us when he scored a hat trick in the demolition of Inter in the NextGen. He struggled out on loan last time but the club feel duty bound to give him a fair chance and have deliberately arranged this loan to where they feel he gets regular football at a reasonable standard.
Ah right. I'd totally forgotten about him and that hattrick until now, it's a shame he couldn't get involved the Nextgen again last season.
