Hooper, but I might change my mind after the next friendly :D, RVW will score goals for us but I think Hooper is more a poacher.

I just think it will take RVW a little bit of time to settle into the English style of play.

I think Hooper, as he'll be around to 'poach' any rebounds etc.

Disclaimer - I'd LOVE to be proved wrong however!!!! I'd also like to see our 'goals for' column nearer to 60 than 40 at the end of the season!!!!

Think of all that money we'd have saved if we'd kept Holty and Barney as this season's strike force <wah>

Maybe that's a poll for another day, "Who will score more goals this season; Holt or Barnett?" !

<laugh> I feel a landslide victory coming on - more interesting will be which of them ends the season with the highest card tally? :emoticon-0112-wonde

My money would be on Barnett... just. I think Holt gets penalised more in the Prem than the Champ.

I reckon class will out. RvW will take the pens and I reckon he'll spend more time on the pitch. That said I won't be too unhappy to be proved wrong by Hooper knocking 25 league goals in to RvW's 24.

I'm with Norfolkbhoy. I think RvW will have a slow start, but will have a Benteke-esque second half of the season as he properly adapts and his class shines through against tiring teams

no chance either will score 25+!

i think they will both score 10+ in the league but i think rvw will just edge it

Besides scoring goals isn't everything, you can score plenty and still go down as last season showed, it's more about the balance between goals and concession. As long as our defence is solid we don't need to score loads to stay up.

Strictly democratically, looking at the poll it seems the consensus on here is Hooper. Who knows though, if RvW bangs in a hat-trick tonight that could all change!

they are both terrific finishers. i trust both of them, when given a presentable opportunity, to bag it maybe 3 or 4 times out of 5 as opposed to holty who i would have said would bag it 2 times out of 5 or morison/jackson at 1 time out of 8! <ok>
