So the games are coming thick and fast as the Swans cruise through Europe and Laudrup has to rotate the squad in a bid to keep them fresh.
The relationship between pairs of players is crucial. Alternating players with different characteristics can give a more unpredictable outlook upfront. Centre backs need this understanding too, as do CM's etc.

    So up top we have:
Bony (ST) and Michu (AM) is the obvious shout for strongest 9 & 10 position partnership but the other options look good too:

Pozuelo (AM) and Michu (ST) the movement would be mesmerising. They would be so hard to pick up defensively that the wingers can take advantage of all the space to run into. The opponents CB's would have to be careful not to get drawn too deep before a sucker punch counter.

Shelvey (AM) and Bony (ST) these boys could muscle it with the biggest centrebacks and can play a bit too! Shelveys range of passing coupled with Wilfried's poacher instinct could prove the winning factor against the really big, physical teams (ahem, long ball teams!).

Any other pairings or possibilities stand out for you? (It's fecking great innit? Like pick-and-mix mun!)

I cant even begin to wonder what combinations there will be this season! we even have the likes of rangel playing in midfield tail end of last season! we have seen Ki at centre half, dyer at striker! there are so many options.

I can see the rangel option being used a few times though,it wrked awesome with tiendalli and gives us a real solid platform if we need it.

There are just a lot more options now, Laudrup has us all guessing and that includes other managers too!

Laudrup has also started not telling the press guys anything about injured players, how long they will be out for etc,etc he is getting a lot more guarded regarding what team will take the field, it shows he is also looking to improve himself as a coach and tactitician :)

Agree NJ. I can see ML just giving lip service this year after all the crap the media have caused him this summer. He made the effort to comment throughout, but they chose to ignore him and carried on with their warped agenda. He will not be rude, will still be classy but he will not go out of his way to please.

The hacks loss, as they shouldnt bite the hand that feeds them.

Which is why I'm not worried by the prospect of Williams being sold...

I would prefer to see Ki playing behind Bony to give Michu a rest - the video of Ki's goals was brilliant

I don't think I saw anybody mention the Dyer and Rangel combo. The pairing up the right wing could be more effective with the changes to the midfield. Instead of passing to Ki or Leon (I love Leon, but he ain't takin' no shots), that have Michu back behind a striker and Pozuelo, Shelvey and Bony ready to fire shots off.
