IanJTaylor ‏@IJTaylor81 CONFIRMED: Loic Remy, who expressed his desire to leave the club in a World Cup year, has joined @NUFCOfficial on a season long loan #QPR
Well if he doesnt want to be here then fine, but we are now back in the position where we need another striker. The club saying this loan deal was agreed because we got Austin in is ridiculous imo. We should only have let him go when we get another striker in.
Not happy at all about him going whatever the deal, but it was on the cards one way or another as soon as we went down. Here's to us winning the Championship, and Remy rejoining us next early June!
Should have sold and be done with him. Now we have the luxury of no win situation, if he gets done so do we. If they or anyone else wants him they just pay the buy out fee. Cracking piece of business.
He has a buy out of £8m, we should have forced them to pay that. We are in a no win situation now. He gets banged up, we lose the fee and his services He has a crap season, no one wants to buy him and we have to pay his 70k a week He has a great season and someone will easily pay his buy out fee
Aside from his outrageous goal last season and decent strike rate of 6 in 13 what's his all round game like??? I know he's very quick but is he purely a poacher or is there more to his game than that? Good win on Saturday by the way and good luck for the season,I'm sure you'll be there or thereabouts when it comes to promotion.
Cannot understand the rationale in this whatsoever! Ridiculous business, force the sale or stay and play. Only benefit is potentially the detail of the buy out clause. Did that only apply on relegation? If we go up next year do we get him back for the prem? If so could almost understand it.
I'm gutted that he is gone. But that's football. You don't notice him a lot during the game, but then a chance comes along and bang! The ball will be nestling in the back of the net.
Unhappy with the deal tbh. We need goals - so we better have something lined up to add to our forward line (preferably under 30 y/o). I guess that the Geordies have option to buy at "buy-out" price minus loan cost; while anyone else will presumably have to meet the clause price ( so we get more). Still feels more like a loss of a class player and a negative for the club without any replacement.
Don't know why anyone is surprised tbh. He was never going to play for us in the Championship The crazy thing is that the Toon will have to name him in their 25 man squad not knowing whether he'll get banged up or not
Realistically he was never going to be with us in the championship. Given the charge hanging over him no-one was going to risk activating his buy out clause. If he doesn't want to play in the championship what option did we have?
Have him back next season if we get promoted? Is it just me then.........as far as I am concerned he can **** off for good. If he doesn't want to get us back in the Premiership then I don't want to see him in a hoops shirt again! I would have thought any passionate R's fan would feel the same!
