Right i'm going to have a rant about Rooney, its about time grew up, he's 27 years old and he plays for Manchester United, i read his book last year and he said that Real Madrid were in for him before he joined us in 2004, i don't know how true that is but i know Newcastle were in for him, since 2010, he's been acting like billy big b(o)llocks like he owns the f(u)cking place, he whinged at that time that we weren't signing enough world-class players, last year we signed RVP and he's still whinging, we can't win, i've had enough of his child-like behaviour, its about time that Moyes and the club stood up to him and not take his crap, its karma Wayne for what you did to us 3 years ago, saying we lacked ambition, we've won trophies before you came to us and will do the same, you should look at your fellow team-mate Chicharito, he's been with us for 3 years, hasn't moaned once about being on the bench, he's the ultimate professinal, you should look up to him, you go on the bench for a game and you go off on one, good god, all players have to sit on the bench during their career, that's life, i won't miss you when you leave, i don't want you to spoil the team-spirit at United that's why we were successful last season and years before that as well,

    rant over.

Agree. Surely the bid should start at least 35 million. But then again as luvgonzo said this is a really strange transfer market, so you would probably be looking at 45-55million pound range to sell him.

You can keep Rooney, not really fussed if we get him or not.

Will be interesting to see how Rooney will react if he isn't sold though <ok>

England will take Rooney regardless <laugh>

He could miss the whole season and they'll still take him

I often wonder whether you find some basic sentences just that bit too hard to comprehend.

I didn't say they wouldn't take him. Remember how he set the World Cup alight in 2010? Now imagine an unfit Rooney lacking match sharpness in 2014.

    I hardly doubt he cares.

When was the last time he had a good tournament? 2004? It won't matter if he's fit or not, we'll still play terrible.

If you think he is not worth 25m, then is better you forget about it and you have to stop talking like you are serious about the deal then

regarding Rooney, don't worry if no good money offered, he will play for us and give us 100% .. am sure he is deep down insulted that Liverpool rejected a 40m offer for Suarez yet Chelsea value him at 25m, and we are not even talking about 100m+ of Bale deal .. so your ridiculous bidding is doing us a great favor in our bid to keep Rooney .. so thanks <ok>

According to the daily star, the United players want Rooney out because they're fed up of him.

me too tbh I'am really fed up with him and his ego and his inconsistent form over the last 2 seasons .. but if no good offer is on the table, then let us keep him regardless..

This is a weird market. Real is prepared to offer £80+ million for Bale. Spurs are holding out for £100+ million. As a result, Rodgers declares that Suarez is worth well over £80m...because he is a better footballer than Bale.

So if Suarez is valued at £80 million, how much should United value Rooney? £70m or £80m?

I would most surprised if United sold Rooney to the Chavs. To any foreign club yes. In a 'normal' market United will sell to the Chavs if they made an offer that united couldn't possibly refuse. But in this crazy market, £50-60 million is not really that. Would Roman be prepared to offer £70-80 million?

I am getting ready for some spectacular offers at the end of August. <ok>

You'll have to add 20m+ to every decent player then.

Fabregas shouldn't be sold for less than 50m

Doubt it. Most of the players have played with him for the majority of Rooney's career, or the majority of their respective careers. I'm sure they all get along. They might be tired of the speculation about Rooney, but it's very unlikely that his teammates want him out.

This is exactly what's happening in this crazy market distorted by Real. Fabregas is not worth £50m but it will take that to make barca even consider selling him.
