If the cash is available to make such a bid then it's definitely not too late. With a few clubs interested I'd imagine he'll take his time before signing anywhere and is probably on holiday anyway.

However, I'm not holding out much hope for signing even a £3m player right now. It really wouldn't surprise me if we end up spending nothing and relying on free transfers such appears to be the board's way of thinking.

Graham and his agent will make sure that every interested party is kept well up to speed on what is going on.

I was going to to say something like that. The player and his agent know that we are interested, they will not be doing anything rash. That is assuming that we are interested.

QPR set to make second bid for Watford striker
    By Paul Warburton

    Danny Graham
QPR boss Neil Warnock’s first job when he returns from holiday on Monday is to wring £3million-plus out of the board to make Danny Graham his first Premiership signing.

Hoops are determined to win a tug of war with Swansea and West Brom for the Watford striker’s signature after Warnock’s initial £2.5m offer was turned down.

But the Rs manager is still determined to make the 25-year-old hitman a number one priority – providing he gets the extra cash that persuades Watford to part with their star player.

A Loftus Road insider said: "Teams sometimes build from the back forward – but the manager wants to make sure he has goals in his locker, with Graham providing them.

"After that, there will be moves for maybe four or five others."

Well chaps, be under no illusion , our great leaders will not spend any real money to get good young players in to our beloved club, Face facts, we will go back down to the Champs; even with NW. So far we have lost out to Swansea, Norwich who are spending money! and getting the players we should be having. I am so sorry to say this to you all, I a not all doom & gloom but have seen this all before at this club over the years! Dear Jim Gregory must be turning in his grave! I also feel that NW will leave if he can not get the money he wants and needs , as he can do better some where else. We must also not forget that the club is still in debt to the tune of £10,000,000 to the little guy and still paying £850,000 a year in%. Let us hope when the club gets the first part of £48,000,000m that will be paid off! Some hope.

He didn't look like much against us at the Vic a couple of months ago. Defo not worth the £4m quoted anyway. I'd rather see the money spent on wages for Bothroyd who imo is a far better player and a cheeky punt on Saviola who is still in his 20's and if Warnock can get motivated is a WORLD CLASS player.

Ye but Eric Sabin looked class against us and we signed him. Graham wasn't great when we played them away but was fantastic against us at Loftus Rd, probably the best example of centre-forward play all season. We'd have won the league by 15 points with him in our side imo.

Maybe we'll stop getting called "moneybags Rangers"
when we get outbid by a provincial club in Taffville!

Sky Sources understand Swansea City have increased their bid for Watford striker Danny Graham to £3.5million.

Premier League new boys Swansea are keen to win the race for Graham and they have upped their offer for the former Middlesbrough man after seeing a £3million bid rejected earlier this week.

Graham has found himself in a three-way battle for his services with West Brom and Queens Park Rangers also seeing bids for the striker rejected.

Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers is a big fan of Graham and has made him one of his top transfer priorities as he plans for life in the top flight.

Watford are resigned to losing last season's top goalscorer in the Championship, but it remains to seen if £3.5million will be good enough for them to let Graham leave Vicarage Road.

It would be a good tactic to let them agree the price, then we can match it. I'm sure we can pay higher wages than them if we want to, and, let's face it, who wants to live in Wales?

I don't think our Board will enter a bidding war for anyone. I, like may others, expect to see more than a few free's come in and maybe some Italian/Spanish unknowns!!

SSN also says Norwich have had a 3.5m bid rejected by Leeds for Snodgrass. I know its early days but our two promoted friends seem to be getting stuck in with serious bids ahead of us. Maybe we're just waiting in the long grass to launch an ambush.

    Heres hoping

If we had gone back with an offer of 3.5 mill before Swansea went up in the playoffs then the offer might of been accepted.
Now we are in a position were we will have to offer 4 million
