Starting Allen as a DM was aksing for trouble. And Lucas was not really at his best physical condition, so can't really judge on the Southampton game alone. BR favours the 4-3-3 system, with two central mids and a Pivot. Much like how Barca play's with Iniesta and Xavi and Busquets as their Only true DM. Coutinho could also be moved to the wings, where he's been playing mostly in pre season and make room for another attacking mid. My only only worry is that we don't have enough creative players. You take out Countinho from midfield, and we lack creativity and incisiveness. And you can't really expect him to be consistent and injury free for and entire season. As Gerrez mentioned it's a squad game and it's important that we have adequate cover.
Completely agree - I'm hoping Aspas and Alberto would be able to provide this creativity in Coutinho's absence. And then someone like Costa can provide it through sheer strength and directness.
Haven't we come out and said this move is not a replacement for Suarez? Which means that it is just more than a rumour.
Mignolet slightly different, There;s room for both Costa and Suarez in the team. And that's what the plan would be, Costa on the wing.
Suarez has been playing upfront alone, behind in the number 10 role and better known for his wide right at Ajax.
Basically, Luis can play anywhere in the front four. If Costa is to be his replacement then so be it but it will cost someone a lot of money.
Don't laugh at me you numpty when you know **** all, Suarez played like ONCE on the wing last season. You're starting to piss me off lad with your subtle wumming on every thread
I didn't say the wing, as you play with wide forwards supplementing your main central striker who is now Sturridge btw. xxx EDIT: & I seemingly know more about it than you do petal
He played on the LEFT side at Ajax - as confirmed here; http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...itch-positions-Daniel-Sturridge-transfer.html by your manager................
This seems a sill argument, both Suarez and Costa can play anywhere in a front 3 that is clear. If Suarez stays there is room for a him and Costa in a starting 11.
I'm sure Suarez plays on the right wing for Uruguay? He also played there at Ajax - but he is versatile enough to play across the front line
