    Why?

It's full of quotes about the Suarez saga, and from the telegraph, and as far as papers go that's a reasonable rag.

The only bit that I don't get is why the selfish ****er didn't stay for the meal? Maybe had his dinner already, or going back home for a niece piece of arm...

It has been deleted now. I wonder which dubious fact caused it's removal.

I would really like to see Wenger go after Rooney if the Suarez deal looks unlikely.

    Steal in ahead of Chelsea.

You gooners know that Wenger does not like to splash the cash..that is why he has gone for 'the biter' cos he realises that Liverpool will not sell to a rival, (they want your 4th place slot on the CL)..
You missed out on our goalkeeper that went to Liverpool also..so as yet no new goalkeeper, CB or striker and no money has been spent...bet the players you need to challenge for the title do not arrive.

Not sure where Arsenal are not showing class. They haven't said anything in public about it and have done everything very discretely. Wenger per usual has conducted himself impeccably. As for bidding for him, what do they expect for us to big over. Thankfully we aren't as foolish as they have been in their recent transfer deals.

There was the first bid, then the one of +£1 trying to activate a clause that does not exist and an attempt to get Suarez to throw a fit.

Even you lot are hoping for him to cause enough grief to be allowed sign for you, so is Wenger.

How is trying to activate a release clause not showing class? The clause didn't exist so nothing happened.

Would you rather we tap up and constantly unsettle the player like Madrid/Barca?

NO we rather you **** or get off the pot. Just put a bid of £50million in or shut up. As it is Wenger keeps dithering on hoping Suarez kicks up a fuss and you can get him cheap. We told you the price. Pay it or don't.

I seriously doubt Wenger went and bid based on what media rags print.

Guardiola has been telling porkies, and Wenger acted based on porkies making that +£1 bid. If he's bid 41 million, that would be understandable, but given the info he obviously had been given, and it could only have been Guardiola as only he misunderstood the contract, he stingily tried to give the barest minimum over 40 mil. Not classy at all, but typical of the accountant.

If he'd have bid 45 mil, the transfer could possibly have gone through, but the +£1 just sparked indignation from FSG

Arsenal could offer £50m, the answer will still be the same. the whole thing has been a complete waste of time

<laugh> tbh, I couldn't be bothered by Wenger's actions, just replying to the stuff about BR. Wenger is creating his own transfer problems.

Suarez agent is the one who is causing all the grief from our pov, he sees a payday for the move to Arsenal and again in two years in a Madrid move. He is thinking that far ahead.

Haven't read through the thread to see if anyone has mentioned this but LFC held an open training session today and Suarez trained alone. He also ignored the Kop end whenever he ran towards them and did not acknowledge them at the end of the session with the rest of the players. I think that crushed any lingering hopes they have of him staying there, he clearly wants out. I do wonder why we are taking so long to finalise the deal, he either has to hand in a transfer request, or we have to bid £50M or both. Just stop fecking around and get the deal done.

He is not dithering (this time), he clearly wants Suarez and will do things we never thought he would even consider to get him. There is some sort of plan going on behind the scenes, if you think we are just waiting for Suarez to throw the toys out then you are extremely naive. Wenger has never made anybody do such a thing in all his time as Arsenal manager, he deals with transfers in a classy way unlike some other people.

    Is £50M cheap?
