Hearing that were in for QPR's Loic Remy, anyone else heard that?

Joe Kinnear was confident of signing Remy.

Awful player. Genuinely surprised he got another Premiership gig. He will continue to not deliver the goods. A park player who somehow made it pro.

Now I sure this will raise a few laughs but as someone who could come off the bench and nick us a goal, I'd rather have Billy Sharp than Mayuka. Sharp is one of those players who doesn't look particularly talented but he manages to get deflections and 'ugly' goals. There were occasions last year where we were crying out for someone like that.

I certainly wouldn't see him as a long-term replacement should one of our main strikers get injured but I don't see Mayuka able to fill that role either.

Seem a few poor sources are linking us to Moussa Sow this morning. From what I remember of him he would be a very good pick up! 15 million being touted though!

Possibly yes haha.however Sow is apparently available at the right price. Current team only bought him 12-18 months ago for 10 million Euro so guessing they would want a healthy profit.sunderland said to be interested to!

I get what you mean, but no thanks. Reading had a slightly better version called Adam Le Fondre and he could hardly get a game, even though he was quite deadly when he wanted to be. Bear in mind though that they had no better quality options and they were relegated. For several years, Michael Owen had been a similar player and he couldn't get a game. You might say that a club should use these types of players off the bench entirely. The problem is that they weaken the team in all other areas save maybe toeing the ball into the net on the odd occasion. They are a gamble that, with limited number squads, clubs aren't prepared to take anymore.

Only thing with Remy is what if he gets charged with rape?

Yeah, despite his undoubted ability I think we should stay well clear of Remy. Pretty sure its a long shot anyway.

Already been charged! If he's convicted though he's looking at time inside, so I don't think any club would be likely to buy him before his trial.

Getting ugly goals is a lot easier in the championship than it is in the premier league though.
