Suarez Transfer News.

There's more gossip around at the moment than in a meeting at the ****ing W.I. so it's hard to know what's true and what is just bluster and guff. What is sure though, is that the last few days of the transfer window will reveal all - and there are going to be a few people with egg on their faces when their claims are proven to be BS.

I can say that an ex LFC player told me over a cup of free spring water, that he is certain Suarez moving to AFC is only a matter of time.

Seems a very skewed view of the situation, the legal system and league arbitration.

I just don't think Liverpool are in the position of strength legally that you seem to think. Obviously you aren't going to believe it, but the law favours the employee in almost every situation. This is never going to a civil court, because if it did and Suarez won, the whole contract system for players will come tumbling down. It is only borderline legal right now anyway.

This is why player-power is so strong right now, because if the player wants to leave, the club can do virtually nothing legally to prevent it. The only thing in the way are the league and UEFA registration rules. No club or league would want to test them.

You can rage and bluster all you like, but if Suarez wants to go, Arsenal are the only takers, and the PL allow it, you will have to take what Arsenal are willing to give you and there is **** all you can do about it.

Getting back on topic - Suarez' temperament is similar to the wild moors as depicted by Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights, a subject which Kate Bush felt strongly enough to sing about.

Is Wenger the man to tame the Heathcliff-like Uruguayan? I think maybe so.
