Bergkamp was brilliant before Arsenal, Weah brillaint at Milan. Henry I agree. Anelka was a good find but always had the talent even tho Arsenal did bring him along, I really do doubt Suarez thinks Wenger will give him another gear at all or anything along those lines, he's proven talent at all levels and the strikers you mention are history, what's happened to all the other strikers since then if Wenger is such a master of improving strikers, IF, IF Suarez is thinking anything it's Champions League football and career progression. [not wum]

I am still doubting it all, the only thing to go on, Ornstein, how on earth he has access to such information that no one else has? Not impressed by his bluster at all, the only one's willing to believe him are Arsenal fans.

 

Lots of players who are considered World Class already want to play under certain managers believeing they will benefit from playing under a manager of that quality.

 

Suarez has no power in this matter. If he puts in a written transfer request it will be refused - as Liverpool have every right to do. If he tries to take legal action then you can rest assured that Liverpool would not accept a Premiership arbitration on a legal contract issue. Therefore legal references would fall within the timeframe of the law courts ie not likely to be resolved in this transfer window. If Suarez were to take such action then he would have to fund it, I strongly doubt that he would wish to take FSG on - the damages would be just too prohibitive for him. All in all he will just have to do as he is told.

Now he could go on strike but where would that get him in the short term? He's already banned for 6 matches and he wouldn't do his prospects of transfer or his value much good if he did.

Suarez is 26 and a brilliant forward, he's at the top of his game, and Suarez wants to go play for Ancelotti, that's his desired destination Madrid, if happening or not, comolli is talking out his backside, 110% speculation. Suarez may settle for Wenger and Arsenal if it happens but it's certainly not his first choice, Wenger is certainly not the reason he would go to Arsenal.

But yes, managers can have a positive effect on players

A monster, but he had the ability, managers can help but 99% of it was down to Weah as it is with all footballers.

 

We all know Madrid is his favoured destination. But that isn't an option at the moment and has no bearing on what Suarez opinion of Wenger may or may not be. I'm not suggesting i know what Suarez thinks about certain managers, i was just stating that players who are already playing at the very top level can still be influenced in regards to transfers by the Manager of a club.
