Suarez Transfer News.

Just reading his name is enough to send flashbacks of that mega-cringey segment of their movie I saw. If you haven't seen it I advise you keep it that way.

 

What are you even talking about? What was i proven wrong about with european qualification? You tried to talk down to me like i was an idiot because i claimed Arsenal hold the record for consecutive seasons qualifying for the CL and consecutive seasons out of the group stages. Which is true. Your a total peanut. You claim you can string a sentence together but the majority of your posts make no sense and dont actually relate to the debate being had.

If you actually just came onto the Arsenal board and had sensible discussion and put your views across properly there wouldn't be so many posters who take an issue with you. You'll notice i have had no problems on the Liverpool board with other posters about the way i post, other than a couple of "mind the language" when talking specifically to you and no-one else. Likewise there are other Liverpool fans and fans of other clubs who regularly come onto this board and hold proper discussions and are more than welcome toadd there opinions - it makes it more interestign to get the perspective of fans from other clubs. But the way you post is intentionally put forward to wind people up and get a reaction, or in other cases you just don't think through what your writing.

You talked of guaranteed cl and I said thats not the case as you had to hope for spurs to **** up last season and there was an element of luck. I never questioned the fact you hold a record for getting out of the group stages consecutively

You proceeded to insult me and go way way off topic from that point onwards, so how you expected me to respond in any other way is beyond me, again I can provide the quotes as I have read it over again

 

Right okay. Here's what we're going to do. This thread is for talking about the Suarez deal, I don't mind how colourful language you use, whether you think people are talking ****e about what might or might not happen, just as long as it's about Suarez

If the comments are going to be simply bitching about other posters, then I'm going to delete them

It is starting to look like Suarez will be staying, if there was such a will to leave the club, I think Liverpool would be courting arsenal trying to squeeze every last penny out of the Wenger.

Mind you I wouldn't be thunderstruck if something happened in the last 24 hours, nothing surprises me after the way Torres claimed he was going nowhere and put in a TF just before the deadline.

 

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they've been doing for the last two weeks to be honest. All the talk about Suarez being worth as much as Bale is designed exactly to try and ramp up his price, because Liverpool know he wants out. If he was staying, they would have just simply said, he's not for sale and he's staying.

 

As I posted earlier, Wenger's comments about the CL qualifiers seemed pointed at Suarez to me.

 

What were they fella ? I've been off the radar for a bit ...

 

He said something which vaguely alluded to the fact we may need to have assured CL qualification for certain things to happen. Which could be construed as we need CL football for the supposed clause to count for us to get Suarez.

 

"Let's count first on what is here, and if we can add something then we will do. It's very difficult to predict that that will all be sorted out before we play in the Champions League qualifier. I think we have enough quality to achieve it with the players we have at the moment, if we can bring more in before that it is even better."

It was just that when asked about transfers, he talked about the CL qualifier as a milestone, which seemed an odd thing to do, if there was no real significance in it.

 

Bad news I think. Ornstein on Radio5Live saying club are not prepared to go to 50m for Suarez... Suarez also very angry at the people who promised he could leave if 40m clause was met. Club also says they are working on backup options if Suarez fails to sign. Suarez first choice Madrid, although happy to go to Arsenal. But Madrid have not bid.

 

Interesting, they say no names given in the other private deals. Wonder who they could be?

 

That CL qualifier was always going to be a massive game, but it looks like it has even more significance now, especially if the suarez deal is dependent on it too.

 

Yeah it's as important as ever to make sure we get into the CL proper. Especially if we have transfer deals that depend on it.

It's clear to me we have back-up targets and also other targets we are working on. But i don't think we have given up on this transfer even if we are not willing to go to £50m. I think there will still be more developments before we see the end of this one!

 

The last few days of the window are always the most exciting as that's when the cards are laid on the table proper

 

So if we do qualify we still get him for 40 million + 1? That would make my day and throw the Scousers into hissy fits
