Newcastle United want £8m Tom Ince?

Newcastle United are reportedly targeting an £8m move for Blackpool winger Tom Ince.

The England under-21 international rejected a move to Cardiff City earlier this summer, after the clubs agreed a similar fee.

According to the Mirror though, the winger would be more interested in a move to St James' Park.

Magpies boss Alan Pardew wants the club to move quickly though, with Everton also among the 21-year-old's admirers.

Everton would need to sell before sanctioning an £8m fee, although Ince is thought to be aware of the interest and Merseyside would be his preferred option.

Newcastle already have the funds though, and Pardew, who is keen on the youngster, has been told he can spend money.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is lining up an £8million move for the Blackpool and England Under-21 star Tom Ince, writes Alan Nixon of the Sunday People .

Pardew has finally got the nod to sign players and is racing to make an offer for the clever winger who is also wanted by Everton after recently turning down Cardiff.

The Toon boss knows Ince’s *value is now fixed and, *although it is more than they want to pay, the fee is within his budget.

Ince knocked back Cardiff for personal *reasons but he would be more interested in the switch to Newcastle.

However Pardew has to get his finger out and get supremo Joe Kinnear to bid fast to beat interest from rival clubs.

Everton chief Roberto Martinez is an Ince admirer and could have money if he makes a sale. He tried and failed for him at Wigan last season.

Ince has also told pals that he is aware of Everton’s *interest, another move that would appeal as it is close to his home on Merseyside.

Spurs are also known to be interested in the former Liverpool kid and could enter the bidding now that Garth Bale’s move to Real Madrid is within touching distance.

But the big push is coming from Newcastle as they look to sign a talented young English *player after so many French recruits.

Be a cracking signing but I think he'll probably hold out for a bigger move. I'm surprised Martinez hasn't had a look, his type of player.

Would be a cracking signing, I wish we had gone in for Redmond and Caulker to, they both moved this summer for reasonable fees and £8M would be a good piece of buisness.

Not sure I rate him that highly. I have a mate who just left Blackpool this Summer after 3 years so I watched quite a bit of them. Just flatters to deceive a bit for me. First touch isn't that great and often makes the wrong choice of shooting/dribbling over a pass. That said he is still young and he will develop. I don't remember Frank Lampard being seen at world class at 21 and look how he developed. And if it is 8mill then it is probably worth a punt cos if he breaks into the England squad his sell on value will probably double or treble.

Gutting for me we didn't fancy these two. Caulker is a cracking centre back but I suppose we are not desperate for a first choice one and he is clearly eyeing next summer should England get to Brazil. So maybe not a realistic one. However selling Obertan and getting Redmond would have been a smart move. Ince looks best when given freedom, we could do with number 10 type for Cisse or others. 8m sounds great to me.
