That's why any dossier has to be public. If the info is there for all to see then it becomes harder to gloss over

Factitious Madrid recently signed an 11-year old American.

Wenger is clearly annoyed by this...

The bunch of Spanish pricks known as Real Madrid have put up a figure they cannot afford, how does a "yeah, we'll give you 100m for him how about 20m up front" deal happen?? also I've read they are frantically tapping sponsors for more dough to fund Bales wages.

How can a team bid for a player when they clearly do not have the all money to support the bid?

This whole "financial fair play" ruling is a ****ing farce. In my opinion, a club should not be allowed to bid or buy a player from a club that they currently owe money to. How dare Real Madrid make a derisory offer like £20m up front for a player worth well in excess of that, whilst still owing us money for Modric; another player they tapped up?

So basically, they think Tottenham is some form of interest free loan scheme where they can rinse us for our best players and pay cut price. These Spaniards really do have a bloody nerve don't they!

To be fair if this is their stance Levy would never go for that deal. Its filled me with some optimism that Bale might be staying.

The counter is that there will be some serious attempts all over the shop
(if you think everything up to now has been bad) to turn Bale into Berbatoss and ratboy,
as there is no other way those terms will fly.

True but I can't see Bale doing that. He hasn't banged in a transfer request has he?

I am more concerned by the fact that Bale can allegedly ditch his current
agent next year. If that happens, his agent may not be the one who gets a slice
of the pie if terms for Bale going to Madrid next summer are agreed after then.

Nobody else has the ability to do the drip drip unsettling attempts up close.

Equally agents get a slice if they get a new contract. If a sale doesn't happen the agent will push for a new contract?

    Bale is big business now.
There will be bigger fish out there seeking to represent him and get him even bigger
slices of all the pies on offer.

If the agent does get slices of any contract extensions, given that Bale
is already under a long contract, then he could (depending on if he can
ditch his current agent) just decide to sign extensions via his new reps
the day after the terms with his current agent expires.

The more I think of this saga, based on what is alleged, the more you realise that Bale
has very little to lose by staying and going to Madrid next summer. The worst case scenarios
play out far more badly for Madrid and Bales' current agent then it does for Bale and Spurs.

This morning Sky Sports reports AVB saying Bale is not for sale, this afternoon Sky reports `sources close to Bale` say he is disappointed at such comments.

Good old Sky (who are desperate to see a face of their rival BTSport transferred to Spain) just have to keep stirring and stirring with even the most desperate of ITK information.

This whole Bale saga is now starting to reek of a greedy agent after his cut, it is probably him drip feeding Sky information to keep the Bale to Madrid campaign going.

It doesn't matter what positivity we get from comments such as AVB's, the media we twist it and make something negative out of it, as they are desperate for the move to happen.

Would be nice to confirm the stuff on his current agent though.

From the Perez viewpoint the nightmare scenario is that next summer
Bale does not leave. Either because Spurs move upwards and Bale wishes to
remain part of that. Or because a bidding war happens with Sugga Daddy FCs
and he goes to one of them instead.

They cannot afford the Levy tax, hence the relentless attempts in their press to
unsettle Bale. But they appear to have confused the Modric scenario as being
    the general policy at Spurs.

Avb is just desperate to keep bale, like most of us yet he most likely knows very little other then Madrid are interested, bale is keen and levy has told Avb throughout the summer that Bale isn't for sale so he will be wound up as it messes with our plans until Bale commits or is sold.

Although it was only recently Avb said Bale is discussing a new contract, all we can hope is that's the case (but very unlikely) and Bale shocks us and spurns Madrid to become a Spurs legend;)

I am fed up with reading about Bale, so would like to change the subject for a while! given your current issues at centre half, who would you like to see arrive to replace Caulker bearing in mind its looking increasingly likely that they will need to start the season in the team, to my mind you may need a Gallas like character (older experienced) and a youngster so who in your minds should you be targetting?

Caulker was sold as we have NEW CENTREBACK arriving, just the management or fans aren't sure of his identity but he has 2 weeks to reveal himself and settle into the team.

    Yes we're concerned.

The way I see it about bale now:
He may want to go to Madrid but not enough to hand in a transfer request, ergo he is happy to stay. Winning.

If I was the club I would offer bale as much as we can afford and as an added incentive to bale insert a release clause at say £80m from next summer, up front cash.
That way bale is happy and has 2 reasons to play well, because he likes spurs and because if he doesn't nobody will trigger that clause next summer.
Spurs are happy because we rebuffed RM (this summer), we get bale for another year and we get a tidy sum should someone bid and bale chooses to go.

RM are happy because they get a year to save their pennies with the knowledge that they can force an accepted bid next summer

Plus, everyone everywhere knows the situation. I don't think there will be many fans who truly expect him to stay passed nex summer anyway

Everything we have heard so far is just speculation - the latest that Bale is " upsets and disappointed" at AVB's comments. I think young Mr. Bale should take a step back, consider just how disrespectful, presumptuous, and arrogant Real have been, and try to understand just why both Levy & AVB are so pissed off.

The longer this goes on, the more it's looking like Bale will have to put in a transfer request, if he wants to force a move. Whether he will do that remains to be seen.
