with andy murray on the end of yet another walloping, this time at the french..it begs the question..

why do britain produce so many spineless bottlers?

    the england football team
    tiger tim henman
    andy murray
and many, many other **** sport stars.

too much praise for achieving **** all, i think where the problem lies.

makes me feel embarrassed to be british.

They are not good enough when it comes to the crunch. Bottlers is indeed the correct word for most of them.

The England Football team have been poor for ages. The last really good team they had was 1990 but even then they bottled the penalty shoot out in the semi.

I doubt Andy Murray will ever win one of the big ones.

There's more chance of me knobbing Sarah Palin to be honest.

Surprise, surprise. He must be losing so he's Scottish now. No doubt if he fights back and wins he'll be British again.

    Prick.

not really. he beats them at other events, when the pressure isn't on. then once he's in the goldfish bowl with the world watching on...he cant stand the heat

That's not true though is it? Murray can beat them outwith the grand slam events so either he bottles it or he is not capable of raising his game to match the top three.

Either way it means he is not good enough.

    No Scotch Bottle <ok>

    Another Tim Henman alas.

Not a scottish thing but he needs someone there to toughen him up. I believe McEnroe offered his services - someone with his winning mentality could be good for Murray rather than mumsy wumsy in the background.

I think I've jinxed him, Nadal has just broken his serve to go 6-5 up and he's got the serve*

*Apologies if I've not got any of the tennis terms right
