I am probably being too clever by half. All I am doing is saying - if we ran last season again, and got 7 more points we'd have been in the playoffs. So lets look at what we did last season, team by team. We lost at home to Brighton last season, so we are 3 points up. If we draw at Leicester, that will be level with last year (so we'll still be 3 points up). We did not play QPR last season, so there's no direct comparison, but we can replace them with a team we did play - I am just saying the bottom 3 relegated from the prem can be mapped against the 3 promoted teams - so for QPR, use Palace. It amuses me, leave me to it
Compared to Brighton we are 6 points to the good as against last year. Hopefully after 10 games there will be a group of clubs that are forming a leading pack and we will be in there. I don't fancy another season slugging it out with the divisions smaller and weaker teams. Let Yeovil, Barnsley and Nillwall have relegation all sewn up ASAP.
