Still lacking sharpness (some misplaced passes and poor decisions and the wtf for the 1st) but we are looking sharp on the break but need to improve in front of goal.
Giroud has had his worst 45 minutes in an Arsenal shirt as far as im concerned. I'm a big fan of his but even if its pre-season i want to see him try harder (which is normally an area you can't fault him for). Dissapointed. Podolski has looked quite lively but poor penalty and could have let off a couple more shots. Ramsey has looked ok, wilshere has been quiet, Gnabry has had some good moments and for his age i'd say a decent performance. Flappy has been rubbish all round - poor distribution and decision making. Gibbs has been a good attacking outlet down the left (and we should remember it is an attackign tournament) but maybe not got back quick enough at times. Other than a few of them the team have looked complacent, as if the win would just come without the work.
Shoddy goal keeping, carved open repeatedly, wasteful in front of goal. No, these aren't the same problems that we've been witnessing for the last 8 years. Not at all. Special mention to Giroud who is surprisingly garbage when we aren't play Asian part timers.
Did anyone other than the papers ever confirm we were actually in for Higuain? A lot of these stories seem to be designed to get people on the club's back when the deals dont happen, maybe because they never were going to happen.
