I remember going to Burnley for the first game of the season 2 years ago and wondered how they managed to get away with having wooden seats. It rained during half time and there was a small hole in the roof - one poor woman came back from getting a drink to find that her seat was soaked. As for where we put away fans, if we had a 4 sided ground, I would decide first where we want the family area. I was a season ticket holder in the Family Enclosure from 81/82 until 88/89 and I would have the family area back there.
Kiwi, I have just watched a bit of Sommet on channel 14 of Freeview. You may not be able to get it in Wellington if you haven't converted to digital, yet. I'm excited. I will be able to watch the Hornets on tv for nothing rather than on a lap top that freezes.
Looking at the Freeview forum, some people seem to be saying that they can get Sommet on channel 27. Try that.
Not sure where that is Chas - we are close to Kato Pafos harbour, about 1 mile to the east. I am not that familiar with this side of Cyprus as we have always stayed in Protaris in the past.
Hi WY, St George's is the big hotel on the left down the Tomb of the King's Road opposite the ship stuck on the rocks. I like Protaris but we normally stay in our Villa in Souli near Episkepi, Limassol. Safe journey home.
Well done today, you can't ask for more than 3 points, onwards and upwards! OK you lovely people, I'm off to bed! Night all Night H
In the WO on Friday, it said that by next Saturday the SW corner will be boarded up so that building works can take place. It looks as if it will take the whole season to finish it. It also said that discussions were ongoing about the East Stand. Yes they sold 2,500 more season tickets than last year, but take a look at the available seats for next Saturday. There are hardly any left and this is in August when a lot of people are on holiday. While things are looking good on the field I really do think that plans for the East stand need to be forwarded with construction to start asap.
Morning all from a damp and drab Weston-super-Mare, showers today have been promised! Have a good day!
Morning all, sunny and warm here at present, hot this afternoon. Strange having to plan the week again to try and catch all the games.
Morning all A bit grey here but the sun is breaking through. Sounds as though England have at least saved the follow on in the cricket.
He is the perfect choice! He looks the part and will suit the quirky role. The best choice since David Tennant.
