When I first saw them, they were slightly more expensive than I thought they were going to be, but looking at other teams in relation to us, it's not so bad. (I think we just got a really good deal last year!!)
I'd be happy if the club could now afford to actually clean the seats now and again at St Mary's. I'm damn sure the plastic sheets behind the back row of seats havn't been cleaned in about 5 years either.
They are pretty easy to snap and then hay presto they replace it by the following week. Health and Safety etc.
I want mine replaced with a camode, with cup holder, foot rest and under-bottom-heating for the winter.
Sound request, if you include a Egyptian Beauty to fan you down with palm leaves in the summer. What's in your hamper these days? I'm packing Crayfish and Rocket on Rye bread... "natch".
I guess I never really thought about how much they would cost. Will do some scouting around other similar sized clubs and find out how much they charge.
A sort of modern day take of a Beef Wellington with a Sautéed Potatoes side, thinking outside the box... nice. ***clicks fingers into thumbs up /pointing motion***
Leicester City Centre - £574 Goals - £429 Coventry Centre - £394 Goals - £315 Middlesbrough Centre - £555 Goals - £400 Hull Centre - £440 Goals - £390 Derby Centre - £500-£560 Goals - £350 ish That's as far as I've got so far... some of them vary a bit because of deadlines, renewals etc but I have tried to work out what the average price is roughly.
Unfortunately i am disappointed with prices as its a 30% hike from last year. If it was our community charge that was increased by that much there would be riots. What with petrol costs as they are i need to consider the value of a st.
Good pricing Strategy, price out the oiks, suggested new chant: Oggy oggy oggy!!! *Straightens cravat*
Will be perfect chant for when St Mary's hosts Rugby World cup games in a few years* *yes, I had forgotten all about that as well.
To be fair, if you can afford the increase easily then you'll be happy. If its going to be less easy to afford it you'll be less happy but still relatively gruntled. However, if you are one of those now priced out of attending matches, then you'll be somewhere between relatively peeved and utterly distraught depending on how much Saints mean to you. And there will be people in all three camps. Everybody needs to appreciate that there is no universally correct answer to whether this is a good move or not.
It is inevitable as we progress that we'll have to pay more for tickets.. If this price hikes looks rich just imagine what it would be should we get promoted to the Prem. Look what happened at QPR and you'll see what will probably happen to Saints. Like it or not modern day football is expensive to follow and there's few of us with lives to live that can afford to follow as much as we'd like too. If you can then enjoy it, but for most of us it's a matter of picking and choosing which games to attend. It doesn't make you a lesser fan of the club.
