Maybe he doesn't think of us as a threat Spurf! I'm intrigued if this Bale deal does go through which players we do get in return. Obviously Coentrao seems nailed on but who else? Di Maria didn't seem keen which is a shame as I rate him.
Best part of £50mill spent with plenty of time to intergrate them into the squad. He's going to get an awful shock when we play them if he doesn't realise this before we play them!
Even if we are to lose Bale we have an exciting season to look forward to and we would have the added satisfaction of burying all thise one man team remarks.
Ahhh ****e meant to like this post but fat fingers + dodgy iPhone touch screen made me dislike anyway of changing it?
One player I'm glad we are steering clear of his Gomis even though we were apparently interested in him last Jan. Apart from the obvious off putting name, I think he is very overrated. Also where the hell did the Lugano to West Brom move come from. Would have liked him at Spurs especially on a free transfer. Source.
What a well constructed, useful and informative post. Assuming you are talking about if Bale is sold I am certain he'd not be bothered if we got a world record transfer fee signed some top players with the money. Now seriously can we drop the Bale stuff at least until there is more news (in fact any actual news.... but that's another matter).. ? It's been discussed to death.
Before we can Balegate a few hard facts: Bale has not said anything. The club has not said anything. Therefore everything we are seeing or hearing is assumed. So taking all this in to account I would expect GB to still be a Spurs player this season.
I like your positive thinking Perryman but unfortunately I think Bale going is a foregone conclusion.
Why did I open my big mouth about there being no news! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23559887 Guess that's that then. If he isn't even going to turn out for us in a friendly he can do one, we'll take the £85m+ and sign some top players to make our squad stronger than it is with him in anyway. Atleast it also looks like we are definetely going to move Dempsey on now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23559127 Seattle, while not rich, have a decent amount of money so I think we'd get something like £4m-£5m for him which considering he cost £6m isn't too shabby.
OK but it's still just speculation. It certainly adds fuel to the fire that he wants to go, otherwise you would think that he would have gone with the squad anyway. However Levy could still force him to stay for one more season, a la Modric.
Bale's still injured, according to someone on another site, which is why he hasn't travelled. Adds more fuel to the flames though, doesn't it?
Hi guys first post so please be kind. Am i among a few that think he will stay for another season. Maybe not just for football reasons but for commercial reasons as well to help build the bale brand. Atm sponsors are throwing money at him, and his agent is making more than enough money but that could change so quickly if he has a poor season. His not in our national team so could easily become a forgotten man in a foreign country and im not sure the bale brand could handle that just yet. Maybe its just wishful thinking he will stay or just my business brain working.
