I agree, and sarcasm can be such a bad thing, but blimey you're hinting you already know the team...to be so in with the men at the top !
Evening all from a roasting Cyprus - just chilling in the bar before a relaxing dinner. Our hotel and others along this stretch of coast are busy with couples getting married on the beach - a bit bloomin' hot to put a suit on and traipse onto the beach in 38C weather! Speaking to a groom who got spliced on Weds, he was quite impressed when I told him it was our anniversary on Weds as well - but we had a 31 year head start on him! OFH - you watch out putting your plums in trees, it sounds dangerous to me!
Well I have an idea of who is involved as I know some of the players who have or havent travelled. As for being in with the men at the top. I wouldnt go that far.
Good morning all from a damp but still too darned hot Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day and come back from Brum with three points!
7 hours to go. I can't remember looking forward to a season this much but also tinged with a fair amount of trepidation, since 1982. Is it really 31 years since our first season in the top flight? In 1982 the season surpassed all expectations. The 8-0 against Sunderland was surreal, but the 1-0 against Stoke was pretty strange, too. How we only got one goal I'll never know. Of course, beating Champions elect, Liverpool, on the last day of the season ( which was also Bob Paisley's last game) may not have been too unexpected, Martin Patching scoring the winner was. Notts County beating Man U on the same day,so that we finished second, was a real bonus. I've had a soft spot for County ever since. I hope this season brings as much joy.
Morning all, overnight storms and the temperature is far more comfortable today. Some rain in short sharp bursts came with the storms, whereas I would like to see 24 hours of nice steady stuff. Reading this article on the Beeb makes me wonder where we should put the away fans when we get a four sided ground. It always looks a bit sad when half the Vicarage Road end is empty. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-23346622
Don't know if you have seen this NZ, but seems like good news for you. "Following Sky's loss of the premier leagues rights Sommet Sports now have the rights to the Football League. They will show all the live games across all the leagues."
Interesting one. I agree with home fans behind each goal.... But it used to be great when we went to Wigan as an away fan when you were in the stands on the half way mark..... great seats...
Thanks BB and Frenchie. I didn't know. I never watch tv here, it's awful and sky is a rip-off. Now there will be something woth seeing.
