According to Marca the bid is serious. Costa is one of the players with the lowest payroll and we're willing to triple his wages.

Someone mentioned earlier he was on £15k a week - if so then tripling it would still put him on quite a low amount (in comparison to other players)

It better be bloody low then!

    Costa does look good.

Though I want him to move for the club, not for the money.

Just look at that slick hair, he must need a £60k a week salary to pay for that! Or a bowl and some scissors...

  8. If I was asked to highlight one thing I really don't like about Sterling, it would be his bloody hair!!!

It was just normal - number 3 all over or something equally simple. Can't stand these stupid haircuts players get when they think they're big time and fashion idols.

He should shave it. He'll be more aerodynamic.

Ok maybe that was a little over the top. I'd gladly take another defender (Would love Papa). But even if the window shuts tomorrow and we didn't bring in another Attacker or Defender, I wouldn't be mad about it. Because i think Wisdom could be used alot more this season and Toure looked alright.

But it's crucial that we bring in a Playmaker. In terms of Creativity in Midfield Arsenal and Spuds have more options than us. And the latter is also heavily linked with Eriksen to replace Bale.

  17. If I thought BR was thinking along the same lines then I would agree but I don't think he is.

Completely agree about another creative midfielder, we can't be over reliant on Ford, especially if Suarez leaves.

Don't think another playmaker in midfield fits. Leaves Lucas with too much to do. Remember the Southampton game last season? Our midfield was completely overrun because we started Coutinho in midfield leaving Gerrard (who doesn't offer much defensively) and Allen (later Lucas) to try and deal with their midfield. Need another strong midfielder if anything.

  19. Who says it interferes with the Lucas / Gerrard area of the pitch? Coutinho can play across the three (4231) as can Suarez, Borini, Aspas and Sturridge. Maybe the new playmaker would be able to too? Also, its a squad game, we need more than just eleven <ok>

That was just Allen having a rubbish game. Coutinho is very good defensively. Marks, closes down, tracks back, tackles, intercepts. He is brave and gets stuck in.

Sterling and Henderson, who often play wide attack, are very good defensively from their attacking roles to.
