Thoughts on current crop..........Lua Lua, Ranger, Sammi......

My own thoughts are these lads are not anywhere near allowing us to compete in EPL.

And we're signing decent young French talent who will keep them out of first team.

Are any of them near first team?

Ranger, Ferguson and Krul all broke into the first team in this and last season. Have some faith.

Ranger, Fergie, Krul, Vuckic and Kadar are the main ones for the future. Inman, Richardson, Tavernier, Airey etc. are also good ones for us to keep, but not priority.

Didn't know that. How did he get injured when they are only allowed a small number of training hours per week?

Lua Lua in the Ronnie today
Players can definately talk the talk

KAZENGA LUALUA is confident of catching the eye of Alan Pardew next season – in a black-and-white shirt.
The Congo-born young gun donned the blue and white of Brighton and Hove Albion last term while on loan at the south coast before breaking his leg playing for the Seagulls at Hartlepool United’s Victoria Park.
LuaLua has since recovered from the horrific injury and ended the season with a couple of appearances under Pardew in the Toon first team at Chelsea and at home to West Brom.
However, LuaLua – who is wanted again by Brighton this summer – is hoping to up the ante during pre-season and despite the possibility of playing Championship football with the League One champions next season, is keen to prove himself on Tyneside.
LuaLua told the Chronicle: “I’m a Newcastle player, and at the moment all I’m focused on is coming back in pre-season and trying to impress the manager.
“He hasn’t seen much of me, and I want to show him what I can do.”

LuaLua showed glimpses of his ability in the two cameo appearances at the end of the season for United but only those who witnessed his displays for Brighton and Newcastle reserves will know about his forays forward and thunderous shots.
LuaLua is looking forward to better times ahead after spending a long stint on the sidelines last season.

He said: “It’s been a long time since I’ve been playing football – I was out for six months.
“It’s been a tough season for me, but my injury’s over now, and I’m just looking forward to pre-season.
“I had a good time at Brighton, and it was a shame to get injured, especially when I was doing well.
“But these things happen in football, and you’ve got to move on.
“I could have been back earlier, but I had a setback.”

Meanwhile, another United player made a return from injury at the Toulon tournament yesterday.
Tamas Kadar, who had been sidelined with a hamstring problem last term, played for Hungary in their 3-0 win over China and got through without any problems.
His fellow Toon team-mate Joan Edmundsson will play for the Faroe Isles in Toftir against Slovenia today in a European Championship qualifier.

Hope we use Kadar next season, wouldnt object to Colo and Saylor being the starters, with Kadar and Williamson cover/cups.

This. What happened to Tozer though? I heard he had some sort of potential but I think he got released if I'm correct? Surely would've been a alternative & less expensive option to have than Sol ''past it ages ago'' Campbell?

Loaned to Northampton, dont think he stood out particularly though. Not a lot of fans to ask about on here either. Think he scored a couple, and played against the team who beat Liverpool in the cup.

Looking at wiki, Tozer played 31 times for Northampton, scored 3 goals, played in the team that beat Liverpool.
