I've seen a lot of him mate and he's only got one foot. I've probably seen more of him than you if you don't go to away games. Bullard tried to influence the lad at one stage and could have led the lad astray by making him believe that he was better than he was. Cairney, I believe, came up through TWS youth program but was not considered to be a prospect so they let him go. He could have (and SHOULD have) worked on his right side game as he is a professional footballer and could well have become much bigger if he had knuckled down (or one of the Coaches had taken him under his wing) to some serious training. He chose not to but it's not too late - maybe there is someone at Blackburn who could grab him and become his mentor and lead him to better things (like Altidore found at AZ).

The only one that wasn't a free kick or long ranger was a header away at Middlesbrough in the FA Cup in 2007, though god knows what he was doing in the box anyway. He'd already scored a free kick in that game too.

Anyway, I hope we're not going to get too many loans, I'm fed up of worrying about them being recalled in January every year.

Ah I was ill for that game and couldn't go :(

Loans aren't so bad; we aren't in the Championship any more, so it's not like returning to their parent club is a big deal for players. If Danny Graham has a wicked first half of the season and we're above Sunderland come January, he isn't going to want to go back. It's when we loan players from bigger clubs there might be an issue, but even then most players are realistic about their chances of getting into the first team. Even if they come on loan to Hull City, they're still going to be a Premier League player for at least a season so I don't think we'd see an exodus in January.

Erm. The players don't recall themselves. Their clubs do.

Of course not. But if they get recalled and we bid for them (which we obviously will if they've done well), then why wouldn't they want to come if we're doing well? It isn't anything worth worrying about.

It's the same as worrying about a player doing really well and being bought for a stack of cash. Yes, it leaves a void, but you use the money you've earned to secure a stronger signing to take their place.

So, if Sunderland have the option of recalling Graham in January, he's scored 10 goals for us, and we're in a relegation battle with Sunderland you think him wanting to come here will let us keep him? Roles reversed I'd rather recall the player, sit him in the reserves, and reject anything but an absolutely crazy bid for them, and I mean the difference between Championship and Premiership money being offered for the player.

We don't need to worry though, with Graham already in we can only sign one other player on loan unless we do a Watford like we did last time we got promoted.

Of course if he has 10 goals by January it would be doubtful we would be in the relegation spots.

Benteke had scored 8 goals for Villa between his debut in the middle of September (having been playing for Genk at the start of the season) and 31st December. On 31st December Villa were 1 point above the relegation zone.

Still. I think Aluko will out score him so if he gets 10 by then I still dont think we will be in the relegation zone. Unless you can show an example of a team having 2 10 goal scorers by the end of January and still being in the relegation zone.

I think it is all conjecture anyway as Graham will not have 10 by then.

Its also a conjecture saying that Aluko will score 10.

There's a lot of conjecture on here; is that a new way of saying bollocks?
