    From the job description

    Work closely with schools and junior clubs, parents, teachers, managers, coaches and scouts to develop
    strong relationships with the Academy and Hull City Tigers

    <laugh>

    Ensure that young players train for quality and development and that the rules and regulations of the Academy and the Mission and philosophy of Hull City Tigers are encouraged at all times.

    **** OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why would you use the business name in the context of this sentence!

    Maybe they need a coach who's also a qualified accountant?

    Work closely with schools? All they do is hold one tournament a year with primary schools. So much for spotting talent at a young age. If that was me, I'd do the rounds of the Hull Schools tournaments too for a start, and go to the cluster tournaments too. I know Kelvin and the North Hull Schools have regular football tournaments, and I imagine other clusters do too. Otherwise talent just constantly slips through the net.

    How much would it cost to, once a year, go into Primary Schools and do a Talent-ID day with the Year 5 and 6s? Very little I presume.

    Tell me about it!
    They should be bending over backwards to get into schools. Instead, they charge over-the-odds for their services, and they don't even send players. The lads they send are reasonably good at what they do, but kids want to work with the players. It's not like players do anything after 11am is it?

    They centre of excellence feud with the Hull Primary School FA over the rep players. I don't think the guy who runs the U11 rep team really helps himself but that aside, they should be working together.
    The club organise two competitions a year - one for Y6 and one for Y3/4. It's a pathetic effort.

    They really need to up their game re. contact with schools. They're missing out on players, but mostly on future fans. Must try harder.

    Teacher rant over.
