Sure it will. If anything though, it should serve as a warning to others that we now have the financial musclepower to buy top players.

 

I agree if Arsenal sign Suarez that for me makes top 4 look very solid for Arsenal and very very unlikely for Liverpool.

But you never know, Liverpool may actually already have resigned themselves to losing him and lined up some superstar we havent heard about yet to replace him!

And if he hands in a transfer request - thus wavering any remaining loyalty bonus and making it very clear he wants out and is unahppy - i think a deal may be done. With Madrid actually looking like they might get Bale it looks like Arsenal are the only club in for Suarez, so if he is going to be sold it's to us.

 

This is getting tiring now. Liverpool and their fans can shout about being candidates for the top 4 all they like. They gob off at the beginning of the season every year, then realise how bad they really are at few months through the season.

 

Ah, but you forget, next year is their year

 

Look, I'm the last person who would criticize a fan for being an optimist. Clubs go up and down 2-3 places every year and the difference between success an failure is far more marginal than people will have you believe. Even if you sell us Suarez, if you use the money you get wisely, you will be fine.

I am optimistic about next season because of our defense, which I think has every chance of being the best in the league. Usually the club with the best defense finishes in the top 3, so I'm hopeful, with or without Suarez.
