Watched it again...can't believe they've kept us waiting for so long. I suppose we're lucky that Cumberbatch and Freeman are still willing to do it now they are in the 'movies'. A really classy production with great actors.

Yep, it's a thoroughly enjoyable interpretation and series. Fantastically acted all round as well.

It truly is fantastic. It's probably the only show all my family and friends watch and enjoy. It's built up quite a cult following both here and abroad as well.
 
Cumberbatch in the new Star Trek is a scene stealer, he makes the other actors look ****.

I'm very much an old style Sherlock Holmes fan and each interpretation has its merits and debits. Of all the TV versions though this is the one I most enjoy. The radio version with Clive Merrison as Holmes and Michael Williams as Watson is still my favourite though as it is entirely accurate. They didn't change a thing and the characters were spot on.
