He's never been a TV personality before. Do better you would?

Written with one of those strip pens no doubt.

He definitely seems like that. I like the control he is trying to get over all our youth levels etc.

I believe Arsenal are closer to signing Luis Suarez than reports are suggesting. The fact that Arsene has spoken openly about him, even divulging into his personality/character, the news that LFC have made a big money bid for Diego Costa, who is an excellent striker and one of the most clinical finishers about, and the fact that the Emirates Cup is right around the corner and we are yet to have a team photo shoot (they are always done before the EC).

I believe that Arsenal have indicated to LFC that we are willing to meet their asking price for Suarez, and they are now actively seeking a replacement before selling him to us.

Will hopefully know more next week, Wenger indicated a few days ago that we wouldn't sign anyone before Emirates Cup and that's it. Simples. Will wait and see.

Yes of course <doh> even before the Suarez rumours we bid 20mil for an attacking player in mkhitaryan, and even with Suarez are looking to strengthen. Costa isn't a replacement, and rogers has said as much. Arsene's latest comments are just to appease you come the end of season that they "tried". We won't let him go for less than 50/55£m, if you were going to pay that you would have bid again by now. Face it, he's not going to Arsenal

You think Diego Costa is going to swap Atletico Madrid for a spot on Liverpool's bench? Ok mate <laugh>

And if you think Wenger is trying to appease to the fans with his latest comments, you are off your rocker. I found his press conference today borderline insanity. He is not trying to "appease" anybody.

You are going to play with 3 strikers up front? You realise that just doesn't work.

Who said he was going on the bench?? He will go straight into the first team, Aspas will be on the bench, as Rogers intimated already when he said signings so far had been "squad" signings and now were were going after signings for the starting 11. Well we'll see, but come the ned of the season when you've only got sanogo and some other randomer I bet Wenger will come out with his "we tried, no value in the market, not going to waste money...etc etc" lines.

    Costa is a winger/second striker.

I'm pretty sure Falcao was the main striker last season, with Costa awapping in and out as second striker or winger

Falcao WAS the main striker. Then Diego Costa took Adrian's spot in the team and played as a number 9, Falcao was the one to drop off.

I heard recently that Diego Costa was unsettled because he was not given assurances he would be the main striker with David Villa arriving at the club so there is not even the slightest possibility of him joining Liverpool unless he has been told he will spearheading the attack.

Well that means he's more likely to be a direct replacement for Sturridge, not Suarez.

who said leaving? He could drop to the bench, it's where he was on and off last season.

Good signing if Liverpool get Costa. He can play all along the front 3 and this would facilitate a more dynamic approach which Brendan wants. Could this make way for Suarez to leave, we will see. If they get Costa and still keep Suarez then I would be impressed.

Liverpool signing Diego Costa will pave the way for Suarez to make his dream move to Arsenal. On topic enough for you?
