Good advice, Charlie...just as I was thinking of making sandwiches it's started to rain! Forecast here is better later so I may wait until I know play's started before setting off.
I think he was puffing because some sill sod had parked his lorry slap bang in the middle of his run.
Im not allowed to tell. I promised the security guard and a couple of members of staff that I would not give anything about the team away. If Brum found out they could gain an unfair advantage. Sorry.
The Baby Hornets thrashed Liverpool 6-2 in the Milk Cup 3rd/4th place play-off. Scorers Obi (3), Sasay, Panos and Pereira. Obi has finished the tournament with 10 goals from 5 games.
Bit late I know, but all the goals here from B.Wood. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LQpzDhNvgA&feature=youtu.be
Going Friday? Are they anticipating a hold-up on the M1/M6? Have they packed sleeping bags in case they have to sleep over at Watford Gap?
They always tend to leave in a Friday and stay in a hotel. Even for these close games. It allows them time to relax and be fresh for the match. Can you imagine being cramped in a coach for 2 hours before a match. The lactic acid builds up and can lead to injuries. Plus it does prevent any potential disasters if they were delayed on the way up.
I should have put a smiley face at the end of my post - I do understand the reasons for going a day early, believe me. However, I do recall seeing the players at Watford Junction on a Saturday morning (a few times) going oop north for an away game kicking off that afternoon!.....
