Spaced was great, and that Robot Fight Club bit was also.

The Robot Wars night in Phoenix Nights was class as well.

Went to see that Worlds End at the pictures last night. Not a bad watch.

Pegg and Frost are always value for money.

I went to see it at weekend, enjoyed it.

Our lass was squawking with laughter at certain points, which really annoyed me for some reason.

Aye Pegg and Frost are great. Saw The World's End a few days ago, and I think it's a cracker.

All of their films are great, I can't choose a favorite one though. It would probably be Shaun Of The Dead if I had to choose one.

Once walked from the car park to Durham CCC in his company - it was the longest walk I have ever had - and by **** I've had some long walks! The man is a total sports (football/cricket) freak with no realisation of what the sport is really there for. I have not met a pro-footballer who has a good word for him. I have heard that when he enters a room . . .

WAR BASTARD!!

My favourite TV comedy ever. FACT. Always amazed me that it was never a success considering their films are essentially long episodes of Spaced and they've done very well.

"Hide it? It's a ten foot cock and balls man!"
"We could disguise it?"
"Yeah, we'll put a hat on it and say it's you!"

<laugh>

Spaced was quality, especially the paintballing bit with Peter Serafinowicz. I also liked the Black Books episode with Simon Pegg as the rival bookstore owner.

"You see me and you say hey there’s Evan. He’s a young guy, he likes the Stereophonics, he rides a scooter. Lets see how far I can push him."

Are you sure that quote was from Spaced? I'm sure it was from Phoenix Nights.... <laugh>

"What's the matter with me? I'll tell you what's the matter with me. Me first week as licensee, I'm stood here looking like a gay Satan cos somebody sold all me clothes on t'jumble. I've been rolled round t'car park all day dressed as a hernia and I've got 12 people in casualty with rubber burns."
"Rubber Burns? Weren't he a Scottish poet?"

Brilliant stuff. Peter Kay at his very finest.

Still not forgiven him for being biased towards Hednesford in 1997.

I cannot open the OP's link, but I'm assuming Lawro has been axed by the Beeb?

I liked Lawro, especially on 5Live commentary. He has/had a very dry, sometimes sarcastic sense of humour and some of his one-liners were pearlers.

I have just seen that Waddle will now be commenting on 5Live. It's ****ing ridiculous, he cant even say the word penalty. He is atrocious. I might start an online petition - I'll call it "Waddle off" or "absolute tWaddle" or something like that

My post or is it a suggested petition title? If the latter, that's another good one.

I may do a poll for the best title

I have no idea how he is the number 1 co-commentator for a channel like the BBC when there are better co-coms about who are free-lancers.

I.e... Jim Beglin, Craig Burley, Stewart Robson, etc.

Likewise, how is Andy Townsend number 1 co-commentator for ITV. Even Sky have struggled to fill their co-com position since Andy Gray has left (Gary Neville is superb in the studio but not the same on commentary).

It was Hartson who kept saying 'Pelanty'

The likes of Shearer and Owen have to provide more insight than "Great finish from the lad." or "And he makes no mistake"

We need a modern day Barry Davies with his eloquence and sagacity blended with the charisma and presence of a big match style David Coleman.

At the moment all we're getting is John Helm type ****s.
