Football is not about your history anymore or how big your fan base, future success is a lottery by who buys your club.
You might be lucky and get what Chelsea and man city did and buy success or you could end up like rangers,Leeds, hearts,Portsmouth and many more.

I for one think it's shocking. How a club can face liquidation, one that only 10 years ago was in the Premier League, at a time when the big clubs are making £100 million bids for one player just shows how far the game has fallen.

Puts our "crisis" into perspective a bit.

Not "for one", matey - it's shambolic. I think it also showcases just how little grip on reality the FA and Football League have any more.

Will this and the prospective apocalypse that awaits dozens of teams make the back pages? Or will we be treated to another picture of Gareth Bale? Society is well and truly fcked.

And not really that shocking. The club has gone into liquidation BUT

it still has the same ground, and players, and fans, and will be starting a new season in 24 hours. not really like when most company's get liquidated.

long and short of it is that Coventry traded a load of debt for a 15 point deduction - - cracking bit of business if they can stay up

Chances are they will fall quicker than Portsmouth and Luton and end up like Darlo.

The other big issue they have is the little matter of having to play 'home' games at Northampton 30+ miles away.
Can you imagine having to travel to somewhere like the 'Boro' for a home again.

Football really needs to start putting it's house in order or we will soon have depleted leagues where household names once were. Money is ruining our beloved game with fans unable to afford some of the sky high prices asked, £87 Million for one player (FFS), £250K+ wages, £4 for a blinkin' pie. Where will it end?
