Morning all,

Investment would be nice. Have a feeling IF we get money for transfers I fear it will be too late for this window, but still, I think we are all prepared for a longer term vision for the club now so we'll come good when we are ready!

Anybody else concerned about the state of the Ashes test? or just me! <grr>

Still plenty of time before the window shuts. I know some of our (rumoured) targets have gone, but IF we get some major investment then perhaps BMcD can set his sights a little higher. Plenty of players out there and money talks.

PS - I couldn't care less about the cricket, Leeds United kick off tomorrow !!!!!

I have an idea that we will see a new face next week. Decks being cleared slowly, as the twins are loaned out and Bromby retired, which means 3 wages less for the season, and I expect another player moved out either sold or loaned, making 4 wages to bring in one decent player. Monday 2pm press conference anyone>

I am going to have to stop reading this site, its like talking to someone with bipolar during one of their manic phases.

Fortunately I do know another site which is more unipolar depressive in nature, so can always go there to dampen down a bit.

Just listen to yourselves, "we're buying ER / new investors / is there space to redevelop the ground? / 33000 on Saturday / lets buy TA / still time for some new faces / we will beat Brighton / super rich investors / crowd will roar us on / your club has turned the corner "

2020, were you to go anywhere near another site of a similar name to this one, you'd only want to go and listen to Leonard Cohen before proceeding to slash your wrists. Stay here. I know its a novelty, but the mood music around Elland Road is getting ever more positive. Even if we come 2nd tomorrow, we're still in a markedly better position than we were this time last year.

I'm just not used to it, Boggers - can't help thinking, any time now, KB is going to pop back up with a "fooled you all, morons, I'm still in charge really"

    feels unbelievably good <ok>

& there was me thinking I was cynical. No, he's gone & I doubt he'd even be so stupid as to take us to court over being rightfully sacked!!. As someone once said, they're changing the guards at Buckingham Palace.... or at least Elland Road. Win, lose or draw tomorrow, we're in a much better position than we were this time last year.

Boggers, no way will he go to court as he knows there's too much ammo been found by GFH already. half a million quid to a dodgy jet airline company owned by a Chelsea fan thats going bust, is only the start. Mr Bates could you explain these invoices, which total £23.4m over the last 4 years. What are they for and what services/consultancy took place on the same day of the month every month for 4-years? You wouldn't be syphoning millions of pounds from your company would you?

GFH are finding bodies all over the place and bates knows he needs to get out of dodge, quick

They must be joke bids if they're true? Smacks of clubs sniffing around because they've heard we need to reduce the wage bill

You're being polite LiD. £750k for Ross and £250k for a guy who has the one thing you can't teach - pace. Blackpool are taking the p&ss. Given some of the over-inflated prices being quoted elsewhere, I'd still be telling Blackpool to phuk off if they offered £1m for Ross & £750k for White.

Will be very nice to end up this TW with no significant departures for anything less than sily money or because they no longer form part of BMD's masterplan.

    Ross McCormack ‏@Rossmccormack44 6h

The worrying thing is, it's the players who love the club who are usually the ones to leave, Howson, Snodgrass etc.

It's the players who seemingly don't care that we can't get rid of

    Afternoon. all

If GFH have done just one thing it's that they have provided some long lost and much needed hope.

In my view Bates picked us off the street before anyone in the family could arrive and had us hooked up to life support and sold our blood. GFH stepped in and have performed the required surgery and now have us in the recovery ward. Hopefully this season we'll make it back into a state that means we're up on a regular ward and before long, they can sign us off to the care of someone who can help us reach our real potential again.

Can't wait for the season to kick off tomorrow. Just wish I could be there rather than listening to it at home.

Not sure how it'll go. Hopefully the atmosphere will inspire the players to a win but I'll not be worried if we don't win. All I really want to hear tomorrow is that the side are giving 100% effort and playing how McDermott wants them to. A win would be a bonus.

Lets hope for a repeat of the -15 season, that was awesome and showed everyone that we didn't give a fook. Not the best team we had or the best manager, just a fantastic ethic. We have now got a good manager and a couple of decent players, who now just need to show us that ethic and beat the opposition by determination :emoticon-0116-evilg
