I am so bored of the Bale talk. Somehow "news" these days is repeating the same info every day, yet the public continue to speculate like they had no idea. change the ****ing record, people! I either want us all seriously discussing "x" millions that we're actually going to spend because bale IS leaving, or talking about other ACTUAL additions to the team, knowing that bale IS staying. Someone at the club, say something FFS. This is torture.

Yeah I agree with you totally Roo. I just want this whole saga over with. We are looking in good shape with or without Bale. I really hope this is resolved before the start of the season. We have had enough start of seasons messed up over things like this. If Real are offering £105 million plus a player we bite their hands off. I'm sorry to all those who think we should keep him at all costs but you are wrong we couldn't turn a deal like that down.
I've been thinking about this, and we're going to be in real trouble in terms of incomings, whether he leaves now, or right at the end of the window. supposing he leaves now, we are going to be paying inflated prices for anyone we want, as they know we have cash. but even if he leaves at the end, and we have an agreement with Real to strengthen before we let him go, other clubs will still have us over a barrell. As it is, we are already spending completely out of character, imagine if we're suddenly putting 20-30m offers in for other players in the coming days/weeks? they aren't stupid, all these clubs will know that bale is on his bike and will still take the piss as they'll know exactly what we're up to.

That's why we should get 2/3 players from madrid as part of the deal. The rest of the money would then go towards the new stadium. If we were to bring Coentrao plus one or two others then we wouldn't need to delve into the transfer market and risk getting shafted. I dont think we need to sign a load more players if Bale goes anyway.
depends if we're upgrading the general squad. Don't forget Caulker's gone, Dempsey is being sold and others are rumoured to be off. (Hudd etc) At this rate, we will need more players.
