There is the table. Just look at the gap between 2nd and third and tell us that is a quality league. Also remember that a supposedly poor United team beat their 3rd placed team twice.

Another point, if the EPL is so much worse than La Liga then why is there consistently more English teams in the later stages of the Champions League than any other league?

 

If barcelona and madrid played week in week out against PL opposition they wouldnt have anywhere near as much joy.

And Stretty. You watch at most 2 La Liga games a week. Theres 8 other games going on every single week so if you are trying to be an expert then i wouldnt bother.

I used to watch La Liga when it was a fantastic league and any team from 5 could win it and often did. Very very exciting stuff. Now its a yawn fest.

 

Rubbish nonsense. In the last 10 years spanish teams have won it 4 times, english teams have won it twice. Getting to semis and the final means nothing if you dont do the buisness when it countrs.

La Liga = SPL MK2

 

La Liga is stronger simply because they attract better talents due to the culture and climet. Atletico can attract the likes of Forlan and Aguero and Simou and then there is Sevilla, Valencia etc. They will lose a few of their stars and then some more great young players from South America etc will join them and Spain is producing some great talents. In England teams have to spend so much more, City, Chelsea and us in the past and now Liverpool. Whilst in Spain they have much better youth academies and can get players from Brazil, Argentina and the Americas who can integrate easily. This in turn leads to a better league, less money spent by the teams below Barca and Real but they have better talents. In England the English talents are simply not good enough, the likes of Walcott, Young etc would not get anywhere near the Spain national side.

 

No we didnt . We drew 1-1 with them and struggled to do so. and won the other game. Madrid smashed 6 past them.

 

Funny how you all call la liga so weak and that it only has 2 good teams in it.You are the same people that say Barca batter the lower teams hence showing how weak they are(points difference)however if we look at both cl finals with manutd and barca youll see that they humiliated us just like they do(or even more)to the lower teams in la liga .. and were supposed to be the best in the 'strongest league in the world'...we could only conjur up a 1-1 against valencia this season also...our top 4 team Tottenham were thrashed by real just like real thrash teams lower then them in laliga..so all the evidence shows us that this season Laliga have been better..no point of theory tbh.

 

Funny that isnt it. Real Madrid ( world biggest spenders ) and Barcelona ( world biggest spenders on wages ) have 4 between them.

Yet the english clubs who spend a fraction have been consistently good in the CL. If we spent money they did we would likely of won more aswell. I mean Arsenal spend nothing, Liverpool finished 5th in the league, Chelsea spend alot and Uniteds spending is low for a top club.

And of course barca pay high wages. They are the best team in the world.

 

Over the last decade as we were discussing the 4 CL wins by Spanish clubs.

They pay the highest wages yet cant actually afford to do so.

Well run club sucking the life out of 18 other Spanish football clubs.

 

We did not even deserve to beat Valencia 1.0, that was a lucky win. Real have smashed Spurs 4.0 and what EPL team can do that to them? Barca have left us and Arsenal dazed and dizzy. EPLs first team could not even beat Valencia at home whilst Real and Barca both smash them. The truth is, La Liga is better but Real and Barca are 2 of the best teams in the world and by a mile.

We are the best team in the world apparently so lets end it there. But I can't understand why we are called the best team in the world, is because currently we are the best? Nope Barca are or is historically? Nope, Real have 9 CLs and even Liverpool, Bayern and Ajax are ahead of us.
