Graeme Bailey @GraemeBailey After missing out on Barry Bannan, Blackburn have moved quickly for Hull City duo Tom Cairney and Cory Evans. Is there anything in this, I only saw articles in the news\on here about Cairney? A 3-year deal was banded about...
I know Cairney is a 6 month loan, but I don't know if Evans has gone permanently or if it's another loan.
Radio Blunderside mentioned it this morning using the phrase "loan switch" and straight away thought it meant a player coming the other way but Im sure if they thought that they would have made it clear
I know Evans has his fans, those who dont rate him and those who are 'meh', but - seriously - if we get 750k does not everyone think that would be a good sale?
Brilliant if true agreed. Piss poor midfielder. The word mediocre sums him up. Weak in the air, weak in the tacklle and cant pass a ball. Another decision of Brucey's i agreed with. Kept dropping him all the time last season. They'll be crying into their real ale on Amber nectar the amount of bumming they used to give him. He's one of those "special players" only really intelligent people can see what he does. My arse.
Bruce deserves a round of applause for getting a fee, just hope this means he has got replacements on the way
Bruce said Evans hasn't played or trained since the Winterton game he has a groin strain, so I somehow doubt the story is true as Bruce said he is out for at least another week therefore he hasn't travelled to Germany.
I really rate Evans, I wouldn't want to let him go as I think he can develop to be fantastic, but this is the Premier League I guess have to be a bit brutal.
To be fair, those players do exist, Ashbee was the perfect example. Everyone loves him now but at the time loads of City fans thought he was ****. Evans doesn't fall into that category though.
i like evens, there was a number of games where he ran the show. doesn't do it on a consistent enough basis though.
The local rag in Lancashire definitely think it's a permanent with a £750k fee.. http://www.clicklancashire.com/spor...oop-for-hull-city-pair-evans-and-cairney.html
