not sure if any one has said this. if ali went it would not put my nose out i would be gutted. therefore i dont think its this i think its more joey is staying as no else wants to buy him
Problem is Dave that Fulham are not used to flair players....sure they had Berbatov last season, but mostly their sides have been made up of players who work for each other and made them difficult to beat, hence the 10 or so years in the PL. Maybe Jol is now trying to change that and he should have funds available to make them consistantly a top 8 side......Adel would certainly make them more atractive to watch.
Youll laugh at this as it would normally be something we could do, spurs bought out the sell on for a small fee about a million. Its cost them many times that now.
What absolute nonsense, I know he's your star man but come on, be serious. Better than Berbatov? Mr Adel of Taarabt, player of clubs such as Lens, Tottenham Hotspur (before they were decent) and QPR, with one honour to his name (Championship) compared to Berbs, whose previous clubs include Bayer Leverkusen (CL finalist) Tottenham Hotspur, Man Utd and Fulham (awesome). I won't even go into his honours and international record just to save you the embarassment of comparison. Worth £12m? Care to reason this one for me. He's a player in the Championship, on inflated wages and has a big personality problem. £6m is a decent price for someone who has managed ONE good season which was in the second tier of English football. Young Zidane? Let me repay the offensive remark you paid me , **** off.
Tommy Forecast, that and a quick up front payment, that's what Rupert Lowe got for the sell on fee we had arranged. The hockey loving clown! We will still get 5% as part of his youth development contract, but as you pointed out, its peanuts really in terms of what it should have been.
That goes down with us selling sinclair for Rowlands and dowie as the worst bit of football business I've ever seen, its down right criminal.
With the choice of Adel or Berbatov ............. forget about all the crap with Adel s' head and so on, just based purely on scoring goals ............ give me Berbatov any day. Might not be as flashy but certainly more consistent.
Should have formed a great partnership with Cisse, but after Cisse was caught offside a few times (whether he went to early or the ball was delivered one touch too late) the passes stopped and Cisse got the hump.
Apologies meant no offence but i have watched a lot of French football over my time and Adel is actually better than Zidane at the same age. It is not a secret across Europe that Adel Taarabt is considered a very special talent. SAF even considered him last year. Taarabt off the pitch is an arse and that's where he gains the most negative opinions ... it's not based on facts. He is very ill advised I believe and that's the only difference preventing him from playing for one of the world's best sides. I am only focussing on the player and how he plays on the pitch. His range of passing and his vision alone is worth 12m IMO. Berb of course a very good player but he is now is the twilight ... Adel hasn't started yet Education: He goes to Fulham your club will light up and you will always have to thank Harold and Us:
Taarabt is injured and only started training yesterday according to Harold's Press thing ... he also talked him up. Good speech by Harold IMO as he reckons we will sign some very exciting players. He hasn't ruled out adel staying when his head is right. Nothing about him going down the road to the Ruperts.
Good news. I still think we'll have Adel (and quite possibly Barton, for good or bad) come September. If Harry can get a relationship going with Adel, it would serve the club well because Adel, even brought on as a sub, will flourish in the Championship. Adel needs the guide of a strong manager. Harry should make the first move, get Adel's head right and bring him back into the fold
My goodness, if we had a good team last season, which we most certainly didn't, he would have been able to play a lot more and do a lot more. We should try everything to hold on to him but I do know now that we have to maintain discipline as that has become a top priority now.
And that against Fulham was the best goal in the Premiership IMO. We keep him I pray He beat Fulham and Chelsea on his own last season ... that for me in good enough Queens Fulham ... the last few seconds of the video sys it all. I don't care a fig ... Taarabt in today's market is worth everything and I wouldn't let him go for anything less than 15m ... if he had a decent off pitch head you could double that
