Marko, I guarantee you the vast majority of LUST "members" are not active, and don't care about LUST anymore. They signed up because it was a quick way to show Bates they were against him, as I said a glorified petition. I was one of those who signed up, but I withdrew my membership when LUST started to misrepresent supporters by behaving poorly. At their last election I believe only 400 odd votes came in. Out of 9000 plus? Says it all mate.
I presume fatty was given a free lunch at ER. Why else would the absorbalot travel all the way from Hull? LUST represent less than 1% of the active fanbase and GFH should ignore them.
Have to agree with this, it was more of an anti Bates glorified petition, and was the reason I became a member. The only reason I'm still a member is purely apathy on my part, i.e. can't be bothered to withdraw my membership. They don't speak on my behalf on any ongoing issues, mainly because they have no influence on incoming investment etc, even the preposterous new home/away kits, where they could have consulted with their membership and presented to the owners the results of the vote, which would surely have been an overwhelming victory for those of us who simply want plain white home/plain yellow away, they had no say in the design. As you say, as an anti Bates petition they did a good job, but they are just a protest group at the end of the day. They've served their purpose.
LIE, LUST were never likely to have a say in anything let alone the design of a kit which they are looking to make money out of and can influence the amount of money the club makes. LUST are just a supporters group and nothing more. I don't really think they are trying to be anything else at the moment anyway
and still represent more than any other supporters group... so GFH should ignore all fans... should ****ing listen to yourselves seriously.
They've had no say in anything because the club have refused to speak with them until now. This is the kind of issue that should be raised with LUST and they will actually represent it in meetings. I don't know where all this hatred of them has come from but it all seems irrational with no grounds, forgetting that they will raise these issues with the club, but the club has to be listening first. To say they have absolutely no say in what goes on just because bates has been actively ignoring them is just ludicrous, they can't affect change until the club listens, and the club is finally listening. We have a platform on which to raise these issues.
Marko, I think the hatred has come from the fact that they really have no importance nor power to do anything whatsoever yet they seem to view themselves differently. Just to clear up though, I have no hatred towards them myself but then again I have no real interest either
Not hatred, just MASSIVE disappointment. The day they started to fabricate stories about doing this and that is the day they lost all credibility. They were making things up as they went along, and when challenged they promised a BIG REVEAL once GFH bought the club. Do you remember some of the hooky stories? Players unhappy with Bates and ready to walk - well, that's tosh, our freeloaders are stuck to ER like barnacles. Supposedly connected to the dressing room, and "top" players "publicly" stating (to LUST and asking LUST to represent them to the media and fans annonymously) that they are unhappy at Leeds and desperate for a transfer. How can LUST be so unprofessional? At best all it could do for us is destabilise morale!! Worst one, they brought GFH to the negotiating table, only for Haigh to PUBLICLY distance himself from LUST and say he'd never heard of them. Again, at best it could have made GFH rethink buying the club. And did the BIG REVEAL ever materialise to back up their false stories? Still waiting!! Sorry, ignorant oafs that need to go away, they offer nothing but hot air and self importance.
