I do know what you mean. Plan B was a problem with Redknapp, too, and his solution seemed to be to throw on Crouch and get everyone to lob the ball up to him. Not exactly the most sophisticated of systems. AVB does, at the very least, seem to have a system of play that he wants to develop; and you will know that it isn't easy getting a team that has been used to playing one style of play to suddenly feel comfortable playing a completely different one. All in all, I have been pleasantly surprised by how well AvB has done with us, bearing in mind that I was quite vocally against his appointment.
Did you finish 5th last season? What about the season before? So what exactly did avb do to surprise you?
AVB delivered us our highest ever points tally in the EPL. Yes, we finished 5th, but we were 1 point behind Arsenal, and not so very far behind your lot. On the basis that progress at this level of the game is made on an inch by inch basis, I'd say we've made progress under AVB.
The fact is you wasn't that far from us was down to Benitez, lets see how near you get this year! When are you leaving us Sandy?
More points means nothing. Would you rather finish 1st with 85pts or 2nd with 86pts? Position is all that counts and you went backwards.
In honesty it was the team and Di Matteo's fault for not qualifying for the knock out round. Have you ever won back to back european titles at your club?
Your Delusion that Bale does not want to leave is very sad. Ancelotti has confirmed that Real are in talks with Spurs over Bale so I doubt it is "all bollocks". Maybe you should listen to him not Cliff Jones, http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23526530
In arguably the weakest/poorest season in Premier League history. Going from 4th to 5th is backwards, no matter how you try and spin it. United won the treble with 79 points. Going by your logic they would have gone forwards when they won the league the following season on far more.
Erm.... the first line of the article is: Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti says the club are in talks to sign Tottenham star Gareth Bale If they are in talks to sign Bale, who do you think they are in talks with? McDonalds? Chrysler Corp? One would think they are in talks with the club that own Bale's contract, ie Spurs.
Why is it a weak EPL? Because Spurs are making a push for CL? Sorry, but that doesn't make sense. The EPL is now more competitive than ever, and that makes it a stronger league than it has ever been at any time in its entire history.
Is says the club is in talks to find a solution, so all the little directors at Real at talking on how they can find a solution so they can bid for Bale, no formal bid has been made, so how can they be in talks with Tottenham, the talks will be ie: we owe Spurs loads of money still for Modric how can we get round this and bid #85 million for Bale when we haven't even paid for Modric yet, that might be the solution they have to sort first.
Apart from the opening line: 'Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti says the club are in talks to sign Tottenham star Gareth Bale.' Stick to tennis, sugartits
Reading to a BBC headline article is that how far you have come, read the rest of the report which not once does it say Real are in talks with Spurs it says THE CLUB are in talks to sign Gareth Bale how anyone else cannot see this is really a no goer. Its like this right Tottenham we want to sign Gareth Bale how about it "No", look we haven't made a formal bid but we want to sign him, these talks are amazing.
So they are in talks with themselves?! No ****! You could be right I suppose, but everyone already knew that. Thats not even news.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23526530 BBC changes headlines after getting it wrong again, same article different headlines.
