Not really. Only game they got really booed was Swansea at home. Sure there were sone stupid buts of the crowd now snd then but its not constantly
They certainly weren't booed off "constantly" at the games I attended Were we booed off when we put 6 past Southampton ?
lol they were booed before the ref even blew for FT. They will be booed this weekend, too, if we don't win the EC. So many people have run out of patience. Apparently only 40K seats have been sold for the Emirates Cup. I pray it is true, people need to vote with their wallets before the club actually takes notice.
Have a look at Arsenal.com and you'll see how many tickets have been sold for this weekend I am an Arsenal "supporter" and i'll always support them.I have no intention of being involved in childish antics like boycotting games.I've booked my tickets for Villa & Spurs and I shall continue going to games like I did in the 70's when we really were ****e
I don't see the point in booing the team, they're not the ones refusing to sign players. In fact, certain players have gone on record saying they'd like a big name signing.
No one will boo at the emirates cup, its not that sort of atmosphere. I might have made an exception for the Bradford and Blackburn games, but in general I would never direct abuse at our own players
I'm taking my four year old grandson to his first ever game on Saturday. The last thing i'll be doing is telling him to boo.
After witnessing that game where Eboue got boo'd off after coming on as sub, you would have thought Arsenal fans would understand why you don't direct it at the players
There will be chants of "Spend Some ****ing Money" on Saturday. Of that I have no doubt. Should Higuain score, things could get nasty. My main fear is we play poorly and bring Yaya Sanogo off the bench, would not be surprised to hear sarcastic cheers at all. The fact is the club has completely lost touch with reality and is disrespecting fans. Whilst our small time neighbors down the road are announcing record signings, we are uploading pictures of cuts grass and some stupid noise Podolski makes. Or giving hero status to some guy who can chase a bus or rubbing transfer rumors in the fans' faces every day with our stupid twitter feed (whoever runs that should really jump off a cliff). The fans are not happy and it will only take one moment of madness to turn the atmosphere from uneasy to toxic on Saturday. I just hope any discontent is directed at Wenger and not the players who have done absolutely nothing wrong.
It beggars belief doesn't it. We are a bigger club, have much more money, have CL football, have the better facilities and have the better manager yet the club down the road have out done us in the transfer window so comprehensively. How the hell has it come to this?
I'm sorry and I know this opinion will be greeted with horror, but even if Wenger signs Suarez, he has burned his bridges with me. He simply must walk. The truth (and this is the truth) is that he thought we would get Suarez for £40M. When we made that bid, we actually thought that we triggered a release clause. We were so naive that we actually ditched Higuain for a complicated transfer we did not read the small printing with. Effectively we have lost out on Higuain because we opted to go for a striker we thought we could get at a decent price (I use the word lightly as £40M is still obscene). This is where it gets messy, we have not PLANNED for what might happen should that £40M not be a release clause. We have no plan B. AGAIN. This is not the 1st time it has happened. Arsene Wenger for all his talk and wisdom does not have a plan B. EVER. Even on the football pitch. He is so lost in his own little bubble of delusion that he believes that it is always his way or no way. Now reality has struck him. Does he go against his principles and pay WAY over the odds to sign Suarez? Or does he stick to those principles and face the wrath of the fans who are begging for a big name striker? A striker we could have got a month ago who actually wanted to join us and could now well score against us this weekend. With all the funds, the scouting systems, the opportunities that can be offered to new targets, Wenger has somehow, once again, backed himself into a corner. He does not know what to do because he has not planned what to do and whatever happens next will be done out of panic, because Arsene does not WANT to spend £50M+ on Suarez and he does not WANT to go into the new season with just Giroud & Sanogo. He must now do something he doesn't want to because he doesn't have a choice. It's just unacceptable. It is worse than that, it is a ****ing scandal and I just don't trust him to make the right decisions anymore. How can I trust a man who can't even trust himself? He has lost touch with reality and I've had enough.
That's a bit harsh on Wenger IMO. Firstly, if he knew about that potential release clause (which he clearly did) then he only knew what Suarez's agent has told him (which would obviously be against the transfer rules etc). However, the way you have worded would suggest Wenger had a copy of the contract between Suarez and Liverpool, if that was to be the case then he and Arsenal football club are on very dangerous ground. Not only have clubs be fined for illegal approaches, they have also had transfer embargo's placed upon them. ATM, Arsenal can't afford to be banned from signing player considering how many player shave been released. As I said, I think you are being harsh on Wenger here
Roberto Soldado: Tottenham agree £26m deal for Valencia striker http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23531981 He will sign a four-year contract to become Spurs' third summer signing once a medical is completed on Friday. Soldado, 28, who has 11 caps for Spain, scored 30 goals in 46 appearances for the La Liga club last season.
Because you know for sure we have no Plan B? We gave up on Higuain after Real decided to hike his price up 10 million not because of Suarez. Problem is many people think they know everything that happens behind the scenes because of all the ITKs when in reality we know jack ****. For all we know there could be other targets. Just because some guy on Twatter isn't spewing on about it doesn't mean it won't happen. So AW will "panic?" Maybe he actually wants to do it? Say what you want about him but there's a reason we are all stuck playing armchair manager and there's a reason he's regarded as one of the best in the world. BTW I could have sworn the 40 million bid was to trigger a clause (not a release one) like all the news websites were reporting
My point is that Wenger did not know 100% the terms of the Suarez clause yet decided to ditch our other targets and put all eggs in the Suarez basket. By doing so he has backed himself into a corner because the clause has turned out to be different that he expected it to be and now has no other targets to go back in for. It's £50M+ for Suarez, or bust. Those are his 2 options and he does not want to do either of them.
