Such individuals who sing these songs and glory in their club playing the dam busters theme are self evidently of very limited intellect and given YouTube clips and the Remembrance Day attempt at Its A Knockout are in large numbers in terms of percentage of the overall support. Celtic fans on the other hand identify with concepts of liberty and right to self determination. They are aware of the wrong doing by the British in their long expansionist imperialistic policies of conquest of peoples globally, whom they perceived as somehow inferior. Celtic fans are much more politically aware and able to sympathise with those peoples who have suffered and still suffer the impact of British foreign policy. SEVCO, formerly rfc fans seem unable to evaluate the sorry impact of British expansionist policies, which are historically responsible for virtually every major trouble spot in the world over the past hundred to two hundred years. Given these differences it should not be surprising that SEVCO fans are vulnerable to the MSM distortion of the liquidation of rfc, the reasons behind it and the consequences of it. Subsequently, the general lack of ability to analyse what happened for themselves, a characteristic which is attributable to the history of rfc itself and the type of people it was likely to attract, results in the misguided victim attitude SEVCO fans have. There are exceptions on both sides to this observation. Both sets of fans contain individuals who hate simply because of hate, without logical, coherent reasoning, something which Gusty Spence admitted in the BBC series The Loyalists, where he admitted that he had to educate inmates as to why they hate committed the crimes they had. That should be contracted with his admission that the Republicans were much more politically aware. His observation, is I believe, reflected in the history of both clubs, Celtic, rfc and now SEVCO and consequently the type of fans they attract.
