It smells more of a Ferrari tactic by trying to hype up the price of Kimi in response to RBR messing with Alonso's partnership with Ferrari. It also seems Vettel is more irritated by the ordeal because it hasn't been sorted yet. (Hypothetical response on who to sign up): "Kimi it's simple as that, I refuse to work with any other WDC like Alonso, Lewis and Button because they play games for their own objective and to ruin mine. Pay him what ever it takes I don't care and we wont have a problem. You bring in either of the other 3 and I can't promise what will happen next but I will respond HARD! If they try anything funny like Mark has done in the past, you can know for a fact if they're in a WDC chance I will make sure I ruin it for them."

This doesn't surprise me to be honest. Alonso came to Ferrari expecting wins and now he's impatient. It's a bit silly, because next year anything could happen. Unfortunately, they need him more than he needs them. If Ferrari lose Alonso, they need to buy out another top driver. I can't see Vettel leaving Red Bull or Hamilton leaving Mercedes. LDM hates Raikkonen. I guess Button could be an option. Either that or they would have to take a risk and sign someone on the ground of potential (Bianchi).
A. Hamilton doesn't control Lewis' contract and I have no idea why Lewis would leave Mercedes when it seems to me that Mercedes are already ahead of Ferrari with development this season and 2014.
