I`d be a lot happier if we had got a second goal - important to look to score first in the next leg rather than try and protect a narrow lead.... one nil often makes players and managers indecisive
Our team and formation is pretty settled and is great for playing away games in Europe with the likes of Samaras and Forrest breaking away. Sure we will be fine.
We played well and that was a peach of a cross from Emilio Arturo Izaguirre Girón - great to see Kristian Arran Commons getting right in on the end of it (Gary who?). We should have had more but given the fact that their team stayed packed in defence for most of the game, getting the one goal was a big achievement . How that team scored so many goals in their last games is a mystery but lets hope there aren't any big surprises in store when they start coming forward, as they will have to do in the return leg. As for the ref - a portugeezer ... enough said. ) Edit: Mohamed Bangura will need to start preparing for life in Outer *****lia after that awful play-acting in trying to get Kelvin James Wilson in trouble.
