Get on premierleague.com and do the fantasy prem selection. you look at the teams and Spurs look crazy unbalanced lol. 17.37 BST: Tottenham look to be close to tying up the signing of Valencia striker Roberto Soldado. FULL STORY. Maybe not so much after this
but you didn't PM me? It is cheap but a gamble. It is hard this year with a lot more quality being brought in. Soldado coming in to Spurs will be interesting and makes me nervous.
beIN SPORT‏@beINSPORTUSA1m Well, @ValenciaCF have confirmed that #Soldado will be making a move to @SpursOfficial. More: http://bit.ly/1bKs178
I understand our transfer policy at LFC, after years of blowing money, I get it......... but when class is still out there, I just feel you have to go for it sometimes. This is a good signing for them, especially if they hold on to Bale ( which looks like they might not).
Im with you now! Yeah he'll prob do well but without Bale they will be hell of a lot weaker So dont you be nervous my little bluffy (ruffle hair smiley) (cringe smiley)
ALL depends on what they do with 85 mil, spend it right and that team could be serious title contenders/top 4 guarentee.
Also if it has gone quiet on our front, might be due to.... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1722683-boston-red-sox-needed-to-make-the-jake-peavy-trade Pretty big trade deal on this side of the pond, this apparently puts the Red Sox in a chance for going all the way. ( Not sure what it ties into LFC but I always wonder how they juggle two teams going trhough transfers).
Yeah they'll be strong. Other teams will know they have this cash, hopefully they'll do unearth the next A Carroll type transfer I can see AVB losing it without Bale Baleing them out
The German club's general manager says the Reds are yet to make a concrete offer for the Greek defender, but admits that his side would consider a sale should a bid arrive Schalke general manager Horst Heldt has moved to deny rumours suggesting centre-back Kyriakos Papadopoulos is close to joining Liverpool. The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Anfield for months now, with recent reports suggesting that a deal somewhere in the region of £13 million is close to being concluded. However, Heldt has claimed the Bundesliga outfit are yet to receive any offers for the promising Greek international, insisting his side are currently planning for the youngster's return from a devastating knee injury suffered in November 2012. "There's not a jot of truth in it," Heldt told German newspaper Reviersport. "We have no offer for Papadopoulos. Neither from Liverpool or some other club. "On the contrary: we are very happy that 'Papa' is making progress and can be back soon, hopefully. We're planning with him." Despite being adamant that no bid has arrived for Schalke's prized asset, Heldt did go on to reveal that the club will consider the sale of Papadopoulos should a sufficient offer be tabled. He added: "If we receive an offer for him, we will come together and talk about that as we do with every player for us."
SSN reporting that Bale wants the move, I reckon Spurs will stay play hardball and try to get above the £100mil mark
this is just silly now. nobody is paying 100mil for this guy. of all the amazing players i nthe world this guy is not going to top them... messi - 100mil? yeah maybe 120mil over 5 years... but bale? c'mon guys lets get real
I've no idea if we will frankly. there must be some sort of contact if the greeks jumped on it but who knows. his clubs being quite clea ro nit so the release clause that again in the story appears on a certain date is past so i presume its all balls. Again i'd let this go to late august and see him play 90mins alternatively we are waiting for skertl to be sold and have the deal lined up... the club says no formal bid but that doesn't say no contact either.... its supposition but will be mildly interesting in coming days.
A great signing Papa would be. Born to defend. Can also play the ball to a reasonable standard. Stays on his feet, has pace, great interceptions. Terrific athleticism - see his jumping.
