Were becoming Cardiff. Quality squad but lots of near misses. Getting into a very strong position but somehow managing to throw it away Perhaps we should change to red?
Shame as we´re not strong enough to gain an auto spot. Maybe a P.O spot but the we won´t be strong enough for the prem so why bother ? Bet we don´t finish the season under NP. Sorry to be negative but I just don´t have a good feeling at all about this season & maybe we´ll have problems (ref money) in the future again once the owners decide to sack it.
I tipped Hull to go up... admittedly I thought they'd go up through the play-offs - but surprise package no. Cardiff did it by changing manager (as did Hull). Nigel has ten games to prove he's the man.
I've just had a look through last season's prediction thread and at a few "professional" predictions. One or two had Hull for top six, not seen anyone (apart from Hull fans) predict them for automatic. That made them a surprise package in my book (albeit only avoiding the play-offs on the last day). And how many times have we (and other clubs) sacked managers and it got us nowhere?
I don't think so. With FFP coming into effect, I think he's here for the season unless we are flirting with relegation. Why pay to get rid when we can simply not renew his contract next summer.
I dont think that the board would want to waste the season if Pearson isn't performing, i think if we aren't at least challenging for top 6, he will be gone after 1/3 of the season (15ish games).
I agree. This is also the reply I would give to those who think we have only hung on to Nige because of the costs of getting rid. Our owners have kept Nige because they think he is the man to get the club promoted.

... but our squad was still worth more (by some distance I'd say) ... which is really my point ... it still comes down to the ability to manage what you have, whichever way you cut it ...
Was worth more back in the Sven days, id guess if you lineup the 2 teams last year, there was very little monetary difference. So yeah, Malky out-managed Pearson, you don't stay at the top of the league for as long as they did just because you have the best players, as QPR will find out this season hopefully
