Really didn't think he'd get there in time on Toormore in the Champagne a furlong and a half from home!
I agree London - watching a furlong out I thought he was still under the impression he was sat on Toranado.
I didn't think demolition would lose the 315 and I can't believe I was going to put a tricast on a 2 place race I have lost the plot bigstyle lol
Siding with Terminal 10/1 in the Plate. He's a horse I've always liked and who I backed when an eye catching 5th (made a shuddering error that knocked him completely out of kilter) in the RSA. Previously a comfortable winner of a Grade 2 beating the useful Tofino Bay in heavy ground, he's a horse who stays well and who should handle conditions fine in what looks like being a huge slog. He was unseated on his last start in a handicap and his tendency to put in a bad jump is a slight concern but first time cheekpieces should help him concentrate and Ruby Walsh takes over in the saddle in superb form. A mark of 144 looks exploitable and although he has to carry a decent chunk of weight this looks a very average renewal of the Plate and with Willie Mullins sure to have Terminal spot on I'll side with him tentatively.
"Held up well in touch, effort and short of room entering final 2f, rallying when rider dropped rein 1f out, hampered again inside final furlong, back on an even keel and strong run under pressure final 100yds, just held, bit slipped through mouth"
Stunning by McCoy. Lumped on CL at the festival last year and although he clearly isn't anywhere near as good over fences McCoy somehow got him home despite the ground. Will be very interesting to see how Carlingford Lough gets on over fences on quick ground.
Please if you get chance, watch the ride on Dhauler Dhar in the 6.10. Tell me that he was trying on him!!! Ridiculous.
Hoping this comes up for you again tonite stick as I have them all done in an accum with voice of a leader who won very impressively already!
