Having a medical at Cardiff by all accounts !! That will be a galvanising signing if they get him, but as mentioned above one hell of a gamble , they must be paying him a big wedge too , all things considered malky has pulled off a great coup if he signs Caulker .
A lot of weight on a young bucks shoulders. With us he had Ash beside him and Vorm behind him. Who is he going to be supported by .... or his he the one doing the supporting.
It will be a great signing none the less, im a little bit surprised Caulker is thinking of risking his England future to sign for an unkown quantity in Cardiff but full credit to Caulks for backing himself . I think he has the potential to be a great player,his rogh around the edges and went missing in a few games but he would be a major step up in class compared to the other international centre halfs they have there !

Thing is yes, it would have been great to go in for Caulker, but who's he going to replace? He wouldn't have taken Ash or Chico's places. So he would have been consigned to the bench, you'd never pay that sort of money for a bench warmer.
A good signing, surprised he went but 8 million for one defender? Shows how desperate the defence situation is at Lego land! I think he's worth the money for the future but they are not getting an 8 mill defender now IMO

He will be a good signing for them, theirs no doubt of that. He proved with us that he will be a quality player in years to come. It's hell of a lot of money 8m+ for a un proven player. Just need to make sure he stays away from the gambling dens!!!
Just think of the value we got in Amat for a fraction. This kid in could be in the Spanish national team in a few years - perhaps sooner given the way Pique played in Brazil.
